Many experts believe most victims of female pedophilia don't even report the crime because there already is ample case law precedent set that will provide for a minimum or token sencing for the crime. Overall, women are generally given lighter sentences for all crimes.

Racial and Gender Disparities in Prison Sentences: The Effect of District-Level Judicial Demographics
"The findings regarding gender in the case of serious offenses are quite striking: the greater the proportion of female judges in a district, the lower the gender disparity for that district. I interpret this as evidence of a paternalistic bias among male judges that favors women."
Women get lighter sentences across the board. The solution? Fewer old male judges - (I agree wholeheartedly.)
RACIAL, ETHNIC, AND GENDER DISPARITIES IN SENTENCING: EVIDENCE FROM THE U.S. FEDERAL COURTS*
http://www.terry.uga.edu/%7Edmustard/sentencing.pdf
"...after controlling for the offense level, criminal history,
district, and offense type, blacks, Hispanics, and others received sentences 5.5, 4.5, and 2.3 months longer than whites, respectively, and females received 5.5 fewer months than males. All of these results are significant at the .01 level. The
average sentence length is 46 months, so evaluated at the mean, blacks receive about 12 percent longer terms than whites, and males receive 12 percent longer terms than females."
A study from Washington state: Disproportionality and Disparity in Adult Felony Sentencing
http://www.sgc.wa.gov/PUBS/Disproportionality/Adult_Disproportionality_Report_FY05.pdf
Women received mitigated sentences, sentences below the standard range, at higher rates and aggravated sentences, sentences above the standard range, at lower rates than men (Table 7).

FEMALE SEX OFFENDERS IN WASHINGTON STATE
http://www.wsipp.wa.gov/rptfiles/femsoff.pdf
"In terms of their attitudes toward their offenses, female sex offenders are more reluctant than males to admit wrongfulness or sexual problems, especially those who engaged in sexual interaction with adolescent males. Some female offenders argued that the offense was committed to please a male co-offender, upon whom they were dependent (Wolfe 1987). Unlike male sex offenders, using dependency as an excuse for the offense is a
characteristic specific to female sex offenders. Also, female sex offenders may be more resistant and uncooperative during police investigations. These women seemed to experience more anger and a greater sense of injustice from the system than do male sex offenders (Allen 1990).
Legal Consequences
Allen (1990) suggested that the legal system may treat female and male sex offenders differently. Mathews, Matthews, and Speltz (1989) suggested that sanctions against female offenders may be less strict because frequently their victims are either too young or too disturbed by the abuse, and therefore are not competent witnesses in court. ...Additionally, society seems to have a double standard toward female and male perpetrators when the victim is a teenager of the opposite sex. For example, in the case of adult women who engage in sexual relationships with adolescent males, our society appears to give some permission for this type of sexual interaction (Wolfe 1987). Society is less permissive in the case of a sexual relationship between an adult male and an adolescent female. This double standard may contribute to underreporting of adult female sexual abuse of adolescent males.

From a CBS News report - note the quotes from the Orange County, CA District Attorney:
'The parents of a boy who was molested by a female Clifton teacher also said their child's suffering was dismissed. Their anger, however, was directed at the judicial system.
Pamela Diehl-Moore, 43, assaulted the boy at least three times at her Lyndhurst home while she worked as a teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. In sentencing her to probation - and no jail time - Superior Court Judge Bruce Gaeta said the affair may have been a way for the 13-year-old boy to "satisfy his sexual needs.''
The judge's leniency sparked such a public outcry that an appeals court voided the sentence and Gaeta was reassigned to civil matters....One example: middle school teacher Sarah Bench-Salorio, convicted last year of sexually assaulting 11-, 12-, and 13-year-old boys. She faced more than 60 years behind bars. The judge gave her six.
"If she was a male teacher, I don't think she'd ever see the light of day again," Rackauckas says.
"Good link. Parson Jim never did come through for us when asked for a link about sentencing disparity between male and female teachers who molest their students."
I read the Saletan article, which referred to a cherry-picked select cases chosen from small sample of offenders. Please read the primary research for which I have provided links.
I have to ask you - why do you hate men, AKA Smith?
I personally am concerned that female pedophiles are getting light sentences that are not concomitant for their crimes.
Feminist writers such as yourselves seem to ignore this fact whenever referring to such criminals. That is politically correct sexism, and unfortunately, is all too common.

From my previous post earlier this morning.
I have a strong dislike of bigots, especially bigots who wrap themselves in political correctness while crying, "I'm a victim!".
Many of the articles and posts on Broadsheet demonstrate that kind of bigotry, a bigotry which is a basic tenet of much of American feminism.
Thank you for your logorrheic outburst.
If you have something sensible to say in the future, I look forward to responding to it.
