Crappy schedule does not equal a black mark on shared parenting

Having a crappy co-parenting schedule (alternating days with mom and dad) has nothing to do with shared parenting per se, it just illustrates how not to do it. Most courts and custody evaluators recommend alternate weeks or 5-5-2-2 schedules so that both parents can enjoy long weekends with their kids.

Feminists and Paternity Fraud

Feminist organizations have backed legislation that maintains levels of paternity fraud in a number of states.

If you think feminism is about a sexist, self-referential dialogue that excludes men, I guess that's your business, but what affects women affects men, and vice-versa.

So I guess you'll have to deal with half of humanity instead of hiding behind the false indignation of the bigot. Too bad for you!

Not at all a nice thing to say

"In other words, some Filipinas have what every executive needs: a wife."

How incredibly condescending.

Just a reminder

We funded and armed the Taliban back when Russia was invading Afghanistan.

We also backed Saddam Hussein in the Iran-Iraq War, and, well, you can see the results....

Ohio is the exception

Other states have frowned upon any laws that would curtail paternity fraud for a simple reason - they like the federal monies that flow to the state for every dollar in child support collected, and keeping paternity fraud high keeps federal monies flowing.

In California, Gray Davis vetoed a bill that would have required personal service for notification of paternity. This is standard for documents pertaining to divorce, etc. that are adjudicated in family court, but Davis felt it was too high a standard to set for paternity notification (80% of paternity judgements in California are default judgements). Part of his response to the legislature:

..."Personal service, as required in the bill, would establish a higher standard of service for paternity actions than all other civil actions. This higher standard does not directly

address paternity fraud or prevent fraud in the future but instead would adversely impact the establishment of paternities. Thousands of paternity judgments are established

timely each year by serving individuals by substitute service or by mail. The bill’s requirement of personal delivery service would severely delay this process, but more important, would provide biological fathers the ability to evade service of process, preventing the establishment of paternity in the majority of these cases and allowing the avoidance of parental responsibilities. This would directly impact child support collections and would jeopardize California’s ability to meet federally required performance measures putting California at risk of losing up to $40 million in federal funds (italics mine)."

More on adoption and notification of parentage

Robert Franklin is right on with his post above. As I posted earlier, state governments are averse to standardizing the methods of notifying a father of the birth(s)of their children if the mother has moved away or has delayed notifying him for a long period of time. They are averse to this for one reason only; it reduces federal subsidies states collect for every dollar in child support collected, i.e. they have an incentive to maximize the flow of child support dollars in order to increase their coffers with federal monies.

The adoption issue is equally egregious. See here for a heartbreaking case of a girl who was denied access to her father for years by state agencies, who preferred to put her in foster care where she was repeatedly neglected and abused:

http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20070711/news_lz1e11leving.html

When fathers indicate to child welfare workers that they would like their children to live with them in cases of abuse by the mother, social workers place the children with their fathers only 15% of the time.

It is no wonder men are leery of marriage and fatherhood in America. The misandric myth of the "Peter Pan Syndrome" clearly has no credibility whatsoever.

Horrible

Women exhibiting the power of free choice. And using their paid-for educations any way they see fit!

Must be "the patriarchy" or "glass ceilings", because they should not be allowed to stay at home with their children - call Linda Hirshman!

And "No woman should be authorized to stay at home to raise her children…because if there is such a choice, too many women will make it."

Go look that last quote up, ladies. Thanks yet again for reminding us how anti-individualistic and bigoted feminism in America is.

The more things change, the more they stay the same....

Who will be arrested?

Let's say you know for sure that if you call the cops, he or she will be arrested...

No. He will be arrested no matter which way the assault goes. Men get arrested for domestic violence 99 times out of 100. Women very, very rarely do.

Enough

I believe enough would be an amount commensurate with the frequency of their being assailants in domestic violence assaults.

Unfortunately, men are usually arrested irregardless of who was the perpetrator and who was the victim.
