I read this book almost in one sitting as it was just too good to put down. Along with the vivid storytelling and exotic setting, I really enjoyed the writer's craftsmanship. Each sentence is funny, tragic, haunting - or a combination of all three, and each sentence moves the story forward with efficiency.
It's been two weeks since I finished Whiteman and I'm still thinking about The Ivory Coast and the spellbinding way it was portrayed in this novel.
