Lovely

Why not excerpts from books like this, if you're going to have them? In any case, a lovely review. Laura Miller is a thoughtful and intelligent writer.

One Rung Nearer Redemption

Yes. A beautiful, attentive review of what must be a magnificent book. Like someone paying close attention to a dragonfly.

Salon...yes, please. Do this. Don't do Ayelett.

Do more of this.

Laura Miller

Laura Miller is fast becoming one of my favorite reviewers/writers/whatever she wants to do. Her piece in the New Yorker on Pullman's Dark Materials series was one of the most illuminating pieces I have read in quite some time. I don't even know if I'll read "The Thin Place" or not, but just reading Miller's review of it is enough for now. I just hope I can read half as much into it as she has. Please keep publishing Laura, Salon.
