burns and pulp fiction

i'm liking this book right now. i heard an interview with charles burns a couple of weeks ago on open source, and i was suprised to hear the interviewer invoke albrecht durer but not pulp novel covers or EC horror comics when talking about burns's art. pulp artists still get no love.
