Only Fools Were Fooled.

It would be helpful if the members of our mainstream news media would finally realize neither Bush nor Tony Blair would have dared to attack Saddam if they truly believed he did have a WMD arsenal. The proof of this is how they dealt with a nation which does have such capability- North Korea. They knew the inspectors had effectively disarmed Iraq as being the threat upon which they sold us their war and by knowing this they believed attacking and occupying Iraq, toppling Saddam, would surely be "a slam dunk, cakewalk." However, the main actors in this tragedy are still the Neocons who had long planned to get the U.S. into a war in the Mideast to insure the safety of Israel. Fortunately, thanks to the splendid research resources available on the web we can still read their agenda. What we should fear today is that only part of this agenda has been fulfilled. Attacking every nation in the area believed to be a perceived threat to Israel's permanance was their complete goal and the threats we see and read every day against Syria and Iran is but the first step to accomplish this. It would be ironic indeed if it is the tenacity of the insurgency in Iraq which will finally terminate their plans as we now see for the first time some opposition finally emerging against this unnecessary war which was created by men who avoided wearing a uniform or serving in combat but exuberantly supported the deployment of FEMALES to fight their war. In reading the interview with Drogan

I am reminded of a political pollster I once knew who would begin each poll by asking the buyer what result he wanted. If you know the outcome you want, asking the questions and absorbing the answers becomes much easier. Thus, if the Bush cabal didn't lie (which I have an impossible time believing), they weren't being honest either.

Remember when we were pilloring the French and to a lesser exten the Germans because they didn't think Iraq was a good place to shed their soldiers' blood? It turns out that the Germans knew Curveball was a moron and the French had already questionned a high-ranking Iraqi who told them Saddam had no nuclear or biological capability. So whose the goose now?

It is a sad place in our history when the award of the Medal of Freedom is a sure indication of one's incompetence as demonstrated by Franks, Bremer, Tenant and Company.
