I felt that way about the epilogue

JK Rowling started being overly blabby in Book 7 itself. Deathly Hallows ended with an epilogue set many years after the final battle, in which we find out the happy, boring fates of our heroes.

    Blech!

What was the point of such an unambiguous ending? Yes, it's nice to have *some* closure, but it could have been simply a brief glimpse of what happened after the dust settled. I wish she had left it to the reader to imagine what happened to Harry, Hermione, Ron, and everyone as they became post-war adults.
