I hadn't heard that. I feel better about him already. If he really said that, and meant it, then maybe sanity has a chance in our government yet.
those who accuse some of us of being "haters" conveniently forget that we hate Bush and Cheney and Lieberman *for a reason.* For many reasons. We don't hate them because they're hopeless assholes--although they are.
Had Bush and Cheney behaved like wise, responsible adults in power, they could be as asshole as they wanted, I would not have cared. Had they done the People's business, had they run the country to preserve the commons, to make this a better country and a better world, they could be the biggest assholes on the planet..ok by me. If they're doing the job, doing the job for benefit of all, observing the Golden Rule at the very least, then they're ok in my book, no matter how rotten they may be personally.
That's the part the right-wing gabblers obsessed with BDS don't get: we wouldn't hate them if there weren't lots of good reasons to do so. The right-wing gabblers *can't* afford to get that. Then they'd have to argue on the merits, and they'd lose. Badly.
