He rates no more thought or consideration that that.
The bit on him is towards the end.

This man is just a horrible person.
"If that were true, it would place Novak in the same company as nerdy right-wing intellectuals like Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Samuel Alito and Kenneth Starr -- homely, brainy Debate Club types who embraced conservatism as a form of revenge against the swinging '60s liberals."
So that's what we've all been suffering under... The Revenge of the Nerds? Deep down, I always knew it.
Another Jew-hating Jew and without a date for the prom! Spare us! I need another martini to finish reading...oh, nevermind, I just won't finish reading. Screw the martini.

he wishes. Who's he kidding? Bob Novak is nothing but a pathetic asshole, and that's what he's always been. He'd like to think he's some kind of big-shot. But he's just a wannabe. Always has been. Always will be. Or, if he has any power at all, it's been for destruction. One of the people we can thank for our country being the way it is now. For the ruination of our political discourse, and the ruination of our DC press corps. He's hardly alone, but he's a big fat symptom.
I mean, the guy's voice is enuff to make the hair on the back of my neck rise up, but when I look at this poor guy (shades of the cadaverous Chertoff) . . . I imagine he must smell, really really old . . .
mothballs, cabbage and cat's pee.
Add Grover Norquist to that crowd. You think he was ever chosen first for a team?
The last 10 years have taught me never to underestimate the power of a man scorned. They never forgive, never forget, and they've bid fair to ruin our country... It is revenge of the nerds. They couldn't get laid, they didn't like the music, and now they're in charge.
I swear, sometimes I can't help thinking this all happened because we just weren't paying enough attention, and these worms took over.
My older brother is well-versed on the Bible. He looks at Republicans and gives voice to those words: "For the love of money is the root of all evil". 1TIM ch6 v10
One imagines a reporter who "follows the money" and exposes the corrupt. So what happens when a reporter "takes" the money? I guess he rises "to the top of D.C.'s journalistic heap". Eh, Bob?
Nerds are usually more human and less-power-crazed than this. These guys are like severely-failed wannabee football heroes/prom kings who have decided to take their rage out on everyone else...
>Add Grover Norquist to that crowd. You think he was ever chosen first for a team?<
One suspects Tucker Carlson suffered the greatest number of wedgies ever recorded in human history. :)

Liberals thought that for the most part, right-wing issues were either dead-and-buried or so out of the mainstream there was nothing to worry about. As well, they couldn't figure why mainstream America want to go backwards to a time when the rich had most of the gross income; women and minorities were boot-heeled; and climbing the ladder was only for those priviledged or ruthless enough to do so? Wingers were able to get a foothold (I refuse to say "take over" because this game is far from over) because they are unethical and care less about fair debate/play. They did a lot of stealth-mess--subverting goverment and businesses to get their people in. In short, the mistake liberals made was in thinking people like this ever give up or go quietly into that bad night. It's not a mistake they should ever make again.
Does this guy have a family/children? That's a scary thought if he does.
Novak once said on Crossfire he would apologize if there were no WMD's found in Iraq. Look it up -- it's in the transcript; that was back when Bill Press was on the show.
I don't think he ever did.
Washington beltway-suitsucker would be an accurate term to describe this guy. If the word 'douchebag' didn't exist.
Prince of darkness? No, prince of payoffs and lies.
I'm shocked that he would complain about the legal fees and his loss of income due to the Plame scandal.
In the NYTimes he is quoted as saying, "I left CNN, which was my biggest payer, and my lecture fees were down. I was a little bit untouchable in the eyes of some people. I was off “Meet the Press” for two years. I have a much lower role with Fox News than I had at CNN."
Am I supposed to feel sorry that his "lecture fees were down"? Considering how so many Americans struggle to make ends meet, you would think he would have the decency to not complain given that he is still a very rich man. It makes me see how severely out of touch this Washington journalist is with ordinary Americans and how swept up in the machine he is. Talk about being "embedded."
So the Douchebag of Liberty blames Jon Stewart for costing him the money he made on Crossfire? Great. I recently watched Stewart's appearance again and took note of how fearless he was on that show. (Like Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.) It's also interesting to note how the studio audience is on Stewart's side - something CNN must have noticed. Although Glen Beck isn't an improvement - watched about ten minutes of that and never returned.
What a creepy old conservative hack.
Bob Novak is a douche bag, traitor, and war criminal. I will never forgive him for not fessing up, apologizing, or taking any kind of accountability for knowingly outing a CIA agents identity. We are at war, and Novak gives aid and comfort to the enemy just to appease his dark GOP masters. He is a horrible person, and will die with the guilt of being an unrepentant enemy combatant of the United States.
* surely, that seems a bit heavy handed. Still, though, until the day he acknowledges and apologizes, I will want only harm to come to him.
thank you,
Lono
