Comics fans, grow up!
With the rise of the graphic novel, comics have hit the big time. It's time for fans to quit whining and celebrate their favorite art.

  • I agree that it is hard to get into the stream of the graphic novel.

    I was fascinated by the Devil Boy movie, so I went to the bookstore planning to buy and read, read, read--but I couldn't figure out how to get into it. The copies they had were labeled and numbered so mysteriously that I couldn't figure out where I could even start.

    Many years ago a student in one of my lit classes gave me copies of The Dark Knight, The Watchmen and The Sandman. I was imediately enthralled. I would love to read more graphic novels--but I found it hard to figure out how, and I am too busy to spend much time trying to figure it out.
