    One of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits was when William Shatner showed up to a Trekkie convention and then laid into all the fans for being such socially inept geeks. If I remember correctly he used the term “get a life” on the cowering Klingons and Spock wannabies in front of him.

    I wonder if J.K. Rowling ever feels the same sense of embarrassment and pity for her fan(atic)s.
