Across the United States, religious activists are organizing to establish an American theocracy. A frightening look inside the growing right-wing movement.
  • Christian Nationalism

This is an old topic. People have been writing about this for years. There are always some people who hate the society they live in, whether they are Baptists from the South or Mormons from the West.

I believe that if you put Mormons, Baptists, Catholics, Reconstructionists, post-millennialists, and pre-millenialists in the same room, you will have the makings of a good Jerry Springer show with furniture throwing and hair pulling. Get these people alone to talk frankly about other Christian denominations and they will all tell you they are right and the other denominations are wrong. They have to differentiate themselves to get people to go to their churches and not someone else's. This is their weakness.

The Christian Right has had its chance with Congress and the Bush administration. Look where Bush and Congress are now.
