A hard look at how one man changed the face of neoconservatism.
  • Imperial Presidency = Dictatorship

This article gives a fascinating back story of how democracy died in America.

Dick Cheney is one of the most heartless, cold blooded monsters this nation has ever had the shame in producing. He is not at all a proponent of democracy, but rather, seeks to turn our nation into a dictatorship driven by extreme, hard right ideology.

His complete indifference to the concerns of the American people and the suffering of the Iraqi people suggest severe and deep seated psychological problems. He is a political version of Ted Bundy.

When your "grand experiment" regarding Iraq causes the deaths of nearly 1 million innocent people, your experiment is a failure. The Nazis also had a "grand experiment" but they called theirs a "Final Solution". A difference in semantics does not erase the similar ideological bent.

Even the views of H.W. Bush were prescient when he realized that the results of a "Team B" could be manipulated to serve ideology. In fact, this is exactly what happened in the run up to the Iraq war.

I cannot help but to place a good part of the blame upon George W. Bush, who proves himself to be a completely incapable leader. His complete weakness as a president has allowed a rabidly ideological Vice President to subsume executive power.

This article sickens me. What sickens me more is that we, the American people, have mistakenly placed such trust and power in the hands of those least deserving and capable. This article needs wide national exposure so the people of this nation can come to terms with how disastrous this administration has been for our Republic. We should also do well not to elect any Republicans to any public office, no matter how small and seemingly inconsequential, until this rancid political party remembers the true definition of democracy in America.
