  • This doesn't bother me a bit. . .

    . . it's his money.

There once was a presidential haircut story that did anger me. Remember when then President Bill Clinton closed down LAX one afternoon so he could get a haircut from some Hollywood stylist on Air Force One. That cost many others time & money.

  • Practically Speaking. . .

[Read the article: Let's abolish the Electoral College]

Other writing have made excellent philosophical arguments on both sides, but two practical reasons to keep the EC.

1)The EC discourages voter fraud. Large scale voter fraud is easier when a party controls the BOE where the fraud occurred. In the current system, if a state is strong for one party, why risk it to go from 55% to 60%?

    2) If there ever was another close and contested election like 2000, there would need to be a nation-wide total recount. Five hundred votes in Florida could be offset by votes from anywhere.

  • Remember Chris Matthews. . .

. .was widely criticized for his comment "the reason she's a U.S. senator, the reason she's a candidate for president, the reason she may be a front-runner is her husband messed around." But when Hillary needs the sympathy vote, she pulls it out. She will do ANYTHING to get elected, and that scares me.
