CDS left, for the Clinton hating punditry. At least be honest. Obama goes on vacation; Hillary goes to FL amongst other places campaiging for him and the news cycle writes "Hillary not enthusiastic enough according to some..." never mentioning that day the Senator Clinton was in FL "unenthusiastically" working for a party that trashed her in the most personal ways, accused her and allowed her to be accused of racism, was less than 24 hrs after one of her close friends, an AA congressmen, Stephanie Johnson Tubbs, had died suddenly from a brain aneurysm. No mention that an already exhausted woman, dealing with the second death in two weeks of a friend and supporter, might be a little down.
OH NO...will Hillary work hard enough Obama? Will she put her "ambitions" (translation, evil intentions because only aggressive b*tches are ambitious).....on hold for Obama?
And you wonder why women like me are so angry??? Sheesh..
journalist for whom I have any respect remaining.
The democratic party has angered me beyond even my wildest dreams. Being a woman of Hillary's age, I was appalled by the sexism and the ageism directed at a woman who has spent her entire life working for causes that would benefit the poor, benefit women, benefit the minority community. I read with horror how the liberal blogs were ready and willing to use right wing talking points from the 90s to trash her. I read with nausea permeating my digestive system as the media boyz of MSNBC got away with blatant sexism on the air and giggled about it like middle schoolers. And I was saddened as they threw out "racism" at the Clintons when they thought she was gaining.
I do not want sexism or racism ever used against anyone. But it is the liberal blogs who set this game in motion. I could care less whether Sarah Palin had ten kids. But I do care that she does not want other women to have choices. I do care that she has no experience. But using the "no experience" meme now is called "sexist." But hello, the Obama bloggers said Clinton calling Obama on inexperience was "racist."
I am saddened that as a woman once again I watched a more experience, better qualified woman passed over (with the help of the DNC and Dean) for a younger, less qualified male. It is the story most in my age group have lived over and over.
I am saddened that so many young conservative women are now shown on the tube as "political commentators" (where were the liberal women during the primary? only Rachel Maddow a blatant Obama supporter was ever seen); women like Sarah Palin who called feminists who complained about sexism "whiners". These conservative women are the ones constantly heard mocking feminista, saying NOW should be called "the organization of UGLY women." Now they are calling out sexism in every other sentence.
But this election season has pretty much been "through the looking glass" where up is down and nothing seems real. But as always, it will be the women, the feminists who despite our anger, despite the unfairness of our democratic primary, who put the needs of their children, especially their daughters, first and make sure we vote what is best for the future. And we know it is NOT a fake feminist on the conservative VP slot. So, as always, the women will put the best interests of their families first, even when those kids have been nasty, selfish and undeserving.
You need a reality check. Just because kids use the "pimping" term, just because they use "b-e-atch" on a regular basis, does not make it appropriate for the media to use it. Hello, it's not middle school.
And here's the point YOU obviously missed, so entrenched in Hillary hatred, as you seem. McCain's kids campaigned for him; so did Romney's....in fact over the years the only time kids were not campaigning for a parent running for office that I remember is when kids are too young or when the Reagan kids (Ron and Patty) and the Guilianni kids were obviously not enthralled by their parents' politics or something else.
Mr. Shuster chose to ONLY see Hillary's child as being "pimped." WHY? Why not just say "politicians pimp their kids." Why did so many of us see it as sexist? Because the ONLY candidate for which the word "pimp" was used was the only female.
But I guarantee you that if it was used about Michele Obama having her little girls on stage, there would have been cries of racism and sexism. I heard/read cries of racism for someone calling Michelle "baby Mama" even though I hear that constantly used by the "kids in our society" for wives/mothers.
You can't have it both ways, even though the Hillary haters here seem to think they can. You can't scream calling Obama "inexperienced, a roll of the dice" a racist statement as was done in the primaries and now whine because Palin's camp is saying the dems calling her inexperience "sexist". You set this game in motion. Now, deal with it.
