Broder, the talking heads of the networks, the Gregorys, the Matthews, the Fox network, are part and parcel of the plutocracy. They love their power, their wealth and they get away with lies and spin.

I have watch for three decades, since the election of Reagan, how the power class pushed lies and myths to keep the people stupid, ignorant and poor. While Reagan's policies supported some of the worst despots of the world, the media hailed Reagan as a hero. While the media trashed Bill Clinton for having protested Vietnam, they hailed an AWOL drunk as a hero. While the media laughed along with the right as they mocked Kerry's purple heart, they drooled over a phony W pretending to be a war hero.

The media's lies about Gore helped us get an apathetic dolt as our president. The media's sexism diminished the role of women in leadership. The media's worship of money and power continues to hurt all of us.

I applaud you and Moyers for speaking out. I have always respected Bill Moyers as one of the real heroes of the people when it comes to journalism. In my mind, it is good to see he has someone, you, joining him to work for the people.

But as long as the corporations headed by the likes of GE running the show, lining the pockets of so called pundits, the plutocracy will continue.

for this article. I have been frustrated, angry, and sometimes in shock at how the media continues their lies and spin about this. The corporatist media does not want to give up their wealth, power and control and their millionaire pundit class continues to fight their fight. I KNEW from the get go the pundit boys would turn on whichever dem became president. In my view, they only fawned over Obama and change and history because it helped them put away Hillary Clinton. I believe to this day the media corporatists and their boy pundits thought they could control Obama easier than Hillary who had already received their spiteful bile for years.

After the primaries, I supported Obama, voted for him, and still hope he will overcome this bipartisan myth. I give him kudos to a point for his efforts but eventually he will have to flip the sanctimonious hypocrites off. In the end, he will be as much of a target as the Clintons were regardless of what he does because these right wingers are the pushing class warfare and they are battling to keep democracy from working.

My desire, my fantasy is that someday we, the citizens, are able to find out the names of the most enabling citizens who enabled Reagan and W, and asses from the top 20% of them, a stupidity/greed tax for putting into office, men who cared more about the wealthy, the powerful, the oligarchy of their creation than about the democracy of the people. THEY should lose their second, third or fourth homes; their yachts, their planes and luxury automobiles. And we, the people, scream, let them eat cake and end their greed and theft.......

THE PEOPLE want democracy, not bipartisanship or post partisanship; the PEOPLE want democracy, not gated communities, private schools, private police forces, private worlds for a few. If the powerful and rich and greedy jerks think they are above democracy, let them leave and go live in Saudi Arabia or some other monarchy where they can live their greedy lives in their privatized worlds.

It's is time for a people's revolution.

Despite their claim to be leftist, MSNBC are all Jack Welch's boys and they love their mansions and their gated communities. FOX NOISE millionaires love it of course and the ones there not making the millions are their happy little lap dogs. CNN.........same old, same old.

These people don't get it, and don't want to get it. When the likes of Brian Williams and just this morning, Mika B, speak about their like and respect of someone like Rush Limbaugh, it speaks volumes. HE, Limbaugh, is one of theirs...rich, privileged and above the law. And they all hated, and still hate, the Clintons...you know, that white trailer trash from Arkansas who dared overcome a childhood with a single parent, an abusive step parent to become a Rhodes scholar and a president. They hate Obama too but they don't know how to approach that without coming off as racist elitists.

The media will continue to spin the class welfare game because, to no one's surprise, they love their gated community lifestyles.

I have despised this person from the first time I heard him. A friend of mine was helping me work on my house in the late 80s. He knew I was a liberal/progressive (my friend was and remains a right leaning centrist). He put on Rush on his radio while we were painting...he thought it would be funny to see my reaction.

Hated him then, despise and loathe him now. How can people even listen to this fool. When I hear anyone, from Brian Williams to Mika B, talk about "respecting" Rush and what he does, I get sick. How does anyone respect a nasty, hypocritical bully. He mocks Kerry's service yet he got a pass, got out of serving in Nam for a butt boil??? He mocks the looks of a 13 year old girl. What kind of people admire bullies who would go after children?

He gets the religious right to follow him despite his three divorces, drug use, and sanctimonious hypocrisy. Seriously I believe anyone who admires the likes of a hate-mongering bully like Rush is as sick and perverted as he is.
