Careful readers will notice that Alex Koppelman writes all of War Room. A second byline stating as much would be redundant.
As for the question at hand, mightn't picking Biden make it tricky to attack McCain's exhaustive tenure in the Senate? Biden, for all his own maverick ways, represents the very old-school Washington politics Obama's supporters loathe. Not to mention Biden's unfortunate (racist?) comments about Obama during the primary.
I keep thinking Obama will surprise us all (despite promises to the contrary by the campaign) and pick a moderate Republican like Chuck Hagel. Just a hunch.
An obvious attempt to pander to Hillary voters and young voters, who McCain thinks are all too stupid to see through this ploy and look at her actual stance on the issues. And isn't Palin currently under investigation?
McCain just lost the election.
As legal_beagle_mo points out, Olbermann has inspired his viewers to do provide quite a healthy chunk of assistance to the free clinic movement. Madden's ongoing drubbings of Olbermann remind me of those Repugnicants who insist that Gore claimed to have invented the Internet.
