One thing is to disagree with Sara Palin on policy and another altogether is to hate her.

Not even Hillary Clinton has this reaction in conservatives. Not any other pro-life woman has it either among liberals.

What does Sara Palin have, or is, that stirs this powerful hate?

I believe it is because of her baby Trig. Many find it an aberration that a woman would, knowingly, bring a child with Down syndrome into the world.

I had a sister with Down syndrome and I remember that when I was a teenager I used to think in this way: to me it seemed almost criminal to knowingly bring a child like that into the world. I used to say that I did not want to bring a child into the world “to suffer”. Life has shown me otherwise: she was always happy, friendly and was the only company my father had for years and I came to realize how wrong I had been. I was the one that did not want to suffer the embarrassment of people staring at her all the time because as I said she had a very happy life.

Then Sara Palin’s baby is a testimony that she “walks the walk” and, at the same time, an indictment against our lack of humanity and our egoism because what is abortion if not the strongest proof that we are losing our humanity?

That is why many hate Sara Palin: because they are so near the bottom of the pit that they can not love babies like they love the wolves of Alaska that they accuse Sara Palin of killing.

Sara Palin makes them uncomfortable with themselves and they must destroy her.

That you work with Down syndrome people tells me nothing unless you do it for free. Do you?

As for the rape kit I do not know the details of it. Although you make it sound that it was the only purpose she had in cutting the budget: just to make the life of the rape victims even more miserable.

And it is obvious that you did not read my post is you ask me if I know somebody with Down syndrome.

Like always, you liberals are so self righteous that nobody else but you has anything to say.

80% of women that know that her baby would have Down syndrome choose abortion; many women choose abortion when there is even only the risk of a malformation and many more choose abortion when their babies are just a mere inconvenience.

These same women are the ones that are horrified with the false accusation that Sara Palin kills wolves herself even when it is not true and even though when the killing in Alaska is part of environmental planning.

For liberals in this country the life of a wolf, a whale or a polar bear is more important that human life. And women that share that view do hate Sara Palin. And they are the majority of who has posted in this article of Ms. Paglia. That is obvious.

There are always two sides of every story.

What is the difference between a mother killing her baby because of rape, birth defects, economical distress or mental anguish and a father in Japan selling his daughter to become a prostitute because of any of the above? After all he would be looking for the family’s and the girl’s well being.

Surely you approve of the mother’s and abhor the father’s behavior.

Let us assume you could travel in time. Which one of you would go back and tell your mother to abort you?

What touch you at that deep level are her authenticity and her happiness. She is a very happy woman and that happiness comes from within, from her convictions, her dedication, her love and from her family.

She is not power hungry, she wants to be useful.
