Glenn nails it again

I quote Greenwald's last paragraph:

That's what matters: what neoconservatives believe. And what they believe is the virtue of political lies when spouted by certain people (themselves) in service of certain goals (their own), and relatedly, the complete absence of any limits on what they can do in pursuit of those "noble" goals.

That's it in a nutshell. The corollary of this is that the neocons, if they had their way, would abolish the Constitution and impose fascism in the US. This is not a far-fetched notion:

fascist financiers during the FDR presidency attempted a coup d'etat, having previously financed Hitler and continued doing business with Nazi Germany during the war.

These financiers were the neocons of their day: their political philosophy is identical.

the Obama catastrophy

When Obama was elected I shared, from afar, the joy of so many good and decent Americans (I'm Australian).

I also thought to myself it was too good to be true, and sadly I think I'm right.

The first disappointment was the installation of the zionist mafia figures like Rahm Emmanuel, Geithner, Larry Summers, et al, whose allegiance is not to the common good of ordinary Americans, but demonstrably to Wall St and yes, Israel. The "change" Obama promised has since culminated in the tenure of Ben Bernanke, a clone of the Ayn Rand-fascist Alan Greenspan. Enough said.

As a result, the global financial swindles that began with Bush (and before Bush, the truth be told) roll on.

I implore progressive Americans to take to the streets, right now, and force Obama to fire every "advisor" and official not prepared to do what is right; to impose his will, once he regains his sanity, on a corrupt Congress and clean up Washington; learn from FDR that it's possible for a progressive President to change a nation and kick Wall St's ass while at it. To paraphrase FDR, what's he afraid of? Where's his cojones?

Obama was not elected to perpetuate the Bush/Cheney disaster, but to destroy it legacy!

Americans, revolt now and force Obama to do the right thing! Help him restore his sanity, remind him he's a Democrat and start acting like a latter-day FDR. Nothing less will do!

I hate to generalize, but...

If the zimmer frame set were to disappear tomorrow, the human race would be cleansed by a very large percentage, with far-reaching effects including a sanitizing of the world in general, and in particular the economy and the ecology, probably.

In an overwhelmingly Christianist - yet malevolent - country like the US, why is it that the geezers are so afraid of meeting their maker and make way for the young?

The Greatest Generation my ass! The greatest proportion of fascists is comprised of geezers, the same ones that made such heavy weather of beating the Germans and Japanese. There, I said it: US WWII soldiers pissed themselves under fire. So let's shut up already about how US geezers saved Democracy.

I hate to generalize, but... what the hell, I love to generalize!

If geezers can, so can I.

Obama who?

Obama's support is melting away faster than Greenland's glaciers for reasons that were predictable from the first days of his (shrinking) presidency: he has surrounded himself with Wall St and pro-Israel henchmen (traitors, in fact).

Until Obama grows a backbone it will be business as usual: a continuation of decades of looting by big business, kowtowing to fascistic interests in the US and the rest of the world.

What happened to the promises on Afghanistan, punishing Wall St, Gitmo, Palestine, etc etc? Vanished, like his presidency.

Did anyone really believe Obama would really make a difference, especially when the Congress and Senate are totally corrupt?

@ aggressive progressive

For the record, I don't hate Obama as you falsely claim. I'm saying precisely that Obama needs to act like a progressive with teeth. Hate? How the fuck did you infer that? I was overjoyed when he became POTUS but had no illusions that we were in for real changes, and I was right: just look at his record so far.

@ agressive progressive

Insults now, you passive-aggressive-regressive dickhead? You're pathetic.

Manny, (not from the US, like it matters)
