FUCK YOU

Don't teach your child to drive high. I don't give a flying shit about the rest of it. I've done most every drug there is, once... but you don't drive under the influence of any of them.

And this isn't some ridiculous D.A.R.E. bullshit either. I'm happy that you haven't had to suffer the experience of a loved one dying as a result of a drug/alcohol influenced car accident (if not then you're part of a minority, I assure you), I really am, but holy fuck shit that's still no excuse to be so naive and idiotic. This honestly makes me so mad that I can't believe it.

I bet you drive home drunk all the time too. "It's only a short distance, what could be the harm?" Fuck you. Holy fuck.

I'll probably be kicked off Salon for this post, but I think it's worth it. Seriously, think a little more next time. Kids will smoke pot, that's fine. But they don't need to learn that it's ok to operate a vehicle while under the influence. 100% holy shit not fucking cool at all fuck shit mother fuck bastard shit fuck.

I hope you never have to experience the day you bury your son due to a drunk/high/whatever driving accident, be it from his influence or anyone else's. Really. I hope you are able to keep living your life of terrible ignorance. I really do hope you can keep living in your naivety.... but don't pass that stupid shit on to the next generation.

Yes, and people drive drunk too. What is your point?

The mere fact that people are terribly stupid in multiple ways doesn't make any specific way any less idiotic. Are you so stoned that your argument is really going to be, "Hey, don't yell at me, ______ person is being naughty too!"

My god, you're a child.

Sounds exactly like Joost

except streaming from a website instead of a standalone player. I'm not sure which I think is better. The embeddable thing is nice, but honestly, I can't imagine anytime I'd want to embed a full episode or movie in to a blog or anywhere. No one would watch it.

Anyway, for anyone interested in this type of service, head to joost.com and download their beta. It's pretty good (oh and you can do other stuff while the commercials play, imagine that).

Original article: Invisible guilt

Why has only one person...

brought up the point of: What is the alternative?

These kids aren't literal slaves being made to work in these places, they're working there because their family needs money in order to eat. Close down all the sweatshops and where does that leave them? Sold in to actual slavery, prostitution, or who knows what.

Are you all so naive to actually think that if you boycott The Gap and other companies like them, that will shut down the sweat shops, and then the children will get to go home and play with their toys??

The solution to this problem doesn't involve ruining the country's economy even more by pulling out your support, that will just create more starving people willing to put themselves (and their children) through anything just to eat. I'm not saying there's no need for reform here, there so completely definitely is. In a major way. Sweat shops are absolutely terrible things that should not exist anywhere. I'm just saying that boycotting these companies isn't going to do shit for improving the lives of these (and future) children's lives in these countries. The solution is somewhere else.
