GG wrote about, "neocon and convicted felon Elliot Abrams..."

Wikipedia says Abrams was convicted "on two misdemeanor counts of unlawfully withholding information from Congress during the Iran-Contra Affair investigation." Therefore, pardon aside, Abrams is not a convicted felon.

    To be more precise

IIRC, two video entries among the nearly 1000 submitted in Moveon's "Bush in 30 seconds" contest compared President Bush with HItler. Those videos were removed by the same process that eliminated over 800 other entries from the contest and narrowed the number of videos remaining in contention to 150. There was no special handling of the two controversial videos.

The contest website is still up.

(This comment is on-topic, if you give it a chance.)

"The Power of Nightmares" is a three part BBC series about the history of neo-cons. You can find it in eighteen segments at YouTube. I did not read Glenn's "A Tragic Legacy" but I take it the story he tells agrees with the one told in "Nightmares."

I don't know how links work here but here is a great ten minute YouTube intro to the neo-cons.

In this second ten minute segment, Michael Ledeen himself takes center stage at two points. He is introduced at 3:30 and he makes a second appearance at 7:30.

Rinse and repeat. It doesn't get much more astounding than that bit about CIA Director Casey. These folks have always been over the top.
