I work in healthcare and the system is a shambles and shameful but americans no longer have any shame do they ?????

The problem is straightforward ....... our healtcare system has been hijacked by two of the richest corporate entities in this country - the pharmaceutical and insurance companies.

And since our govt has been bought and sold ....... representing the interests of the corporations rather than the interests of its citizens, we have this joke of a system.

But the real problem is the american people ....... they were raised and brainwashed to belief that americans are rugged individualists who are totally responsible for the nature of their lives and unresponsible for anything in the lives of their fellow citizens.

This, in spite of the fact that we pay huge sums of taxes.

We have this mess, just as have all the other messes in this country because we have no since of either community or reality.

Nothing will change as long as the american people tolerate it ......... but I am afraid they have become cowardly sheep.

I don't really know what this means. When I think of black folk, I don't think about black women in camoflage soldier outfits and black men in arab garb .......... I think about Birmingham Brown saying "feets don't fail me now" in a Charlie Chan flick.

The fact that we now have a black candidate just means that many blacks have become educated enough to become power hungry, money hungry, slippery and deceptive as white politicians.

The problem is not the govt or the oil companies or the bankers ....... it is the people themselves.

They have willingly entranced themselves with tv and videos ....... with games and ipods ......... with professional sports , etc.

When Rome fell, the entire tax income was being spent on having the weekly "games" in the coliseum and the govt was afraid the public would riot if they were not provided their "entertainment" .....

The American public will willingly give away their right to be informed active citizens for a tank full of gas and a weekend at the beach ......... for the pleasure of reality tv and game shows ....... for the pleasure of buying more trinkets at Walmart ......

I'm a pharmacist and stopped talking to other pharmacists a decade ago.

I warned them of what was to come in 1991 and no one listened.

Pharmacists, like physicians, hold the power to change their destiny but will not unite.

They've "got no balls" ...... just like the American people ....

Selfishness, stupidity and the inability to sacrifice for anything beyond themselves sums up their position and the screwed up shit hole called America.

Real freedom costs but it brings much satisfaction ....
