It sure is hard to believe so many really care for this Comrade Hillary, whose craving for ruling seems more a Cuffy Meigs than a Wesley Mouch.... for certain, a Caesar she isn't....
The real issue is not so much the continued idea of race, but the recognition that there are 'human' values qua human, not as per a tribal notion based on skin color - and further, that these human values require dealing one on one with others as individuals, not as gangs of pea-pod mentalities.... but this in turn means there is a realization that culture is not relative as has been the mythos for much of the past century - but that, as per being human, there are requirements needed in order for the human to flourish qua human, and that some cultures inhibit those qualities if not outrightly seek to irradicate them, leading to the unintended consequences of the deplorable state of many blacks struggling in a dead-end sense of existence.
Far better of choices for fiction would have been to include Water For Elephants - stirring and an affirmation of being human, instead of the damnable hatred of being human, as expressed in that truly fictional account of 'life as if there were no humans'....
