Double Standard???

What in the H--- is the big deal about Edwards. So he was dipping his wick outside the home. Bill Clinton has led a most profligate life style before, during and after the White House. He didn't have the strength of moral character to keep it in his pants for eight years. Bill Clinton was accused of improper sexual advances and rape but no one in the media made a big deal about it, didn't bat an eye. In fact the media were his most enthusiastic supporters whether he was dipping his wick or bombing aspirin factories. Clinton could do no wrong in their eyes. Bill Clinton stopped a federal criminal investigation of a money contributor and made it possible for that contributor to provide the Chinese with the technology to target American cities with ICBMs and nothing was mentioned in the media. No big deal. So shut up. You are showing the hypocrisy the American people have come to expect from its news sources. You didn't care then so why pretend to care now?

Truman had a different idea

On an appointment sheet for May 22, 1945 President Truman jotted a note: "...and I don't believe in going to church for publicity purposes."

On another occasion Harry Truman wrote in his diary, February 8, 1948; "I go for a walk and go to church. The preacher always treats me as a church member and not as the head of a circus. That's the reason I go to the 1st Baptist Church." .... "One time I went to the Foundry Methodist Church, next door to the 1st Baptist, because Rev. Harris was Chaplain for the Senate when I was V.P. He made a real show of the occasion. I'll never go back. I don't go to church for show. I hate headline hunters and showmen as a class and individually."

Nuff said Mr. President. Apparently for modern presidential candidates about all a church is for is publicity. When are you going to wake up America. Campaigns are all smoke and mirrors where the candidates try to find the right combination of opinions and actions to get elected.

Remember Clinton promised the most ethical administration in history and then he got caught with his wick in the wrong lamp and lied about it. George Bush Senior said, "Read my lips. No new taxes." He raised them later. Lyndon Baines Johnson declared before his election, "I'll not send "Amuriken" boys to die on Southeast Asian soil." The following April he sent the Marines into DaNang. (I know because that was where my little Lance Corporal ass got sent---and I voted for Goldwater).

Mark Twain, "If you don't read the newspapers you are uninformed. If you do read the newspapers you bare misinformed. Substutute television news and you get the idea today.

Who's to blame?

You've gotta remember folks that the same people who are in charge of balancing the budget, running Amtrak trains on time and keeping the peace are the ones who organized the last relief effort---federal and local B U R E A U C R A T S. Don cha just luv 'em. Keep smiling, you're being used by them. And you thought the voters were running things---Hah!!

Tokenism--what, NOW, are you kidding??

Okay girls, pull in your claws. Don't be so catty. You are just jealous that Mrs. Palin is a working mom able to juggle her career, raise a family and still get out to moose hunt. Whatsa matter, jealous because you can't hit the five ring with a .358 at 100 yards? You don't even know what a .358 is. Why are you so mad? Is it because Mrs. Palin has better credentials as an executive than Barack Obama and his running mate have when added together? Whatsa matter don't you like a VP candidate who has been responsible for the voter's tax dollars? Whatsa matter, angry because she says drilling for oil in a wasteland is good property management? Is it possible you are just angry because McCain upstaged Obama and got the talking heads to report the news instead of plugging Obama's candidacy? Mrs. Palin may be the first VP to pull the presidential candidate into office. I know a lot of people who were boycotting the election who have reconsidered and are voting for Palin and McCain.

Responsibility, family values

Hoo boy, this is gonna get juicy. The liberals are in a real quandary. How are they gonna spin this young lady's pregnancy into an issue to be used to damage Gov. Palin's candidacy without appearing to be hypocrites. The Hollywood liberals get pregnant all of the time out of wedlock and wear it as if it were something to be proud of. This little girl (the daughter) does the same thing and somehow it is tawdry. Go Democrats, go talking heads, let's see what you are really made of. I don't think that the liberal media types are gonna let this chance to smear McCain go without trying to drive Palin off of the ticket. Next thing we'll hear from them is that Hillary was a a saint for carrying Chelsea to term.

Pregnancy is no big deal in the big city anymore. Get over it lib's 'cause this could come back and bite you in the ass if you get carried away with this and use it to smear Palin. What would the spin have been if Chelsea had became pregnant in the Clinton White House???
