There was a real good article that I read recently and can't attribute because I forgot who wrote it, but it put forth many reasons for HRC pursuing the VP slot.

She can no longer go after a leadership position in the Senate because of the vile campaign she has conducted. Her Senate colleagues, albeit politicians, were repulsed by it and believe she would destroy the party if she could benefit herself.

Also her strategy to continue her campaign in order to provide leverage for her demands which include an alleviation of campaign debt.

Plus, if Obama loses, she would be in a very strong position for 2012.

I just occasionally post on this thread. I come here because I notice an article when I am on my way to read Glenn Greenwald.

But I agree with the posting put forth by Hutman that Katetex, proudtexasgal, lolcait, akasmith, shaun, et al, all seem to be spouting the same story lines as though they are being fed them and then posted.

It seems very organized! Also, it is so consistent with the devious tactics employed by the Clintons.

Spammers and Trolls!

Just a thought! It seems to me the "club," lolcait, katetex, et al, follow the same talking/writing points.

However they don't seem to explicitly push the race issue except by innuendo.

I believe Obama is going to have great difficulty in overcoming the race issue. Many low-information voters will elect to accommodate their racial biases. Perhaps the spammers realize that people who can read and write can't be swayed by this tack?

Liar's Problem!

Thankful!

I am so happay that there is at least one web-site that I can go to an get trite, pathetic, HRC propaganda. I think it is terrible that the main-street press is ignoring the fact that Elizabeth Edwards still hasn't declared. What the hell are they thinking? Her non-declaration is one of the most momentous moments in this campaign. It signifies oh so much, that I just can't describe the importance of this non-declaration in the scheme of things in attaining 2707 (or the latest Clintonian count) votes so that HRC can declare victory.

Oh, damn you Obamamaniacs, it is all your fault! You stupid realists!

I am sure that Joan Walsh appreciates your resplendent, probing analysis; re Obama's liabilities and Clinton's assets. She is sure to hire you as a well-respected, journalist at Salon with top-billing. You can have a good paying job just by asking, I suppose.

Obama/Hillary

"There's no doubt that racism makes Obama's job harder, but if we believe he can be president, we have to be tough-minded about the things he can do to minimize that problem."

You say that Obama has to work hard! He does and is very adaptable, and he doesn't lie nor exaggerate.

He attempts to deal with every problem with a logical, rational thought process.

You can say what you want but I detect no sexism at all against HRC, yet I strongly feel you look for it in every utterance from an Obama supporter. It just isn't there.

I slso don't detect any elitism on the part of Obama supporters. None at all! I think you are delusional.

Talk about gut-wrenching slime read the posts of Katetex, proudtexasgal and AKAsmith.

Original article: A split Democratic decision

Racism!

"No doubt some of it is racism -- exit polls reported a quarter of Clinton's Kentucky supporters said race was an issue in their vote -- but I don't believe racism alone accounts for such mind-blowing Clinton wins (and Obama supporters who indulge in despicable Appalachian stereotypes to explain his losses aren't doing their alleged candidate any favors)."

Of course it's all racism! Mind-blowing as it may seem to Joan!

And Joan should know about racism, growing up in an Irish-Catholic environment. But she wasn't on the receiving end, was she?

My poor immigrant mother thought sending her eastern European six-year old to an Irish-Catholic school would be good for him. The school was 99% Irish-Catholic and managed by the "good nuns."

I was a dark kid, struggling to learn English, being destructively, without let-up, taunted every day by the bullies, because I wasn't a "good Irish laddy." Why I couldn't even speak the language! A monster, an huge object of hateful bigotry and ridicule. Oh, how they enjoyed it! Archie Bunker was an amateur compared to these kids. Hatred was their byword. "Wops and niggers and arabs and spics!"

And their parents were worse. "You have a lot of nigger in you, don't you boy."

But they really saved their hatred for the British. All I ever heard was talk about the IRA and even went to dances sponsored to raise funds. Their hatred knew no bounds.

Black Racism!

I had never heard of black racism until today. I never detected sexiam being used, even once against Hillary's campaign.

It seems to me both terms are being used by Hillary Clinton supporters to further her candidacy.

I had thought that Lee Atwater/Karl Rove had been the initiators of, and were the prime movers, in the use of dirty political tactics, but Hillary and her supporters take the prize.

There is no base level of disgusting, vile methods to which they won't lower themselves.

Obama is a good and fair human being but he won't be able to withstand the onslaught of Hillary and her people. They will do him in!

How about a Column on Hillary's Lies?

Joan,

"In 1968 Kennedy's first primary was in May of that year. Not exactly the resounding justifiaction to support a protracted contest. One Month? The primary calender was a little different."

Her husband's win was assured 4 month's prior to June.

She never went under sniper fire.

She didn't single-handily secure peace for Ireland.

She lies and lies and lies and then lies some more.

I was just wondering how you can justify those lies. I know you can do it! I look forward to the article.
