HILLARY CAN'T WIN (This female's pov)

If she gets the nom, the Repub slime machine is poised to distract with info on every one of Bill's dalliance's since he left office just to remind voters what's in store - more Clinton fatigue. It will be unfair, but so successful.

And Hilary can't call McCain out on his inconsistent views on the war. She knows she's polarizing, so she mitigates - hence her (like must Dems pussing out) and voting for war. I'm not a politician, but I knew it was bullshit at the time. She didn't and she wants to be president?

And don't even get me started on the anti-flag burning legislation she introduced so she would seem tough.

Oh, and the fact that the bulk of here professional life (her "35 years experience") was spent as a corporate lawyer.

I'm a woman, I root for women, but she does not speak for me.

Obama is a fresh and different. Time for the boomers to step aside. And take your cynical dirty tricks with you.

We want a new day. We want the future.

SAY IT, SISTER!

I'm a woman for Obama - 100%.

I support a guy who speaks of unity than a faux human rights woman who introduces bills to criminalize flag burning so she looks tough to dudes.

Plus I like Obama's wife. A lot. She's a badass. I'd vote for her too.

Quit Playing the Victim!!!

As a woman under 30, I could easily use that slang and not feel exploited. And above and beyond the apology, what more do they want?

It makes Hillary look weak, a calculated distraction from real issues. And even Bill whining about it. Like he's got the lock on feminism after he let an intern blow him in the oval office and then referred to her as "that woman."

And after Hillary tried to bully Barack into her schedule to keep him away from one on one time with voters (where he does well), she's going to refuse a debate?

This whiny-ness makes me embarrassed that she presumes to speak for my gender. And yes I consider myself a feminist (a humanist really).

And how funny that Salon would whine about MSNBC Hillary hating coverage (which I don't get), while they clearly favor her over Obama. Same with NYT. Funny, funny, funny...

OLDER FEMINISTS RUINING IT FOR US YOUNGIN'S - AGAIN

Joan is so blind-sided by her Hillary support that she'll slice and dice Obama to bits.

It's gross. I'm 30, a feminist (humanist - best person for the gig), lily white, and NOTHING Obama said offended me. Not even close to the stuff Fallwell, Robertson, etc say. But I don't vote for preachers, I vote for the candidate.

What? Separation of church and state only applies to white people?

What I really resent is that many middle aged women (like Joan) are so ga-ga for Hillary b/c she's a woman. Never mind she voted for a war, introduced anti-flag burning legislation, is in deeper with corporate money, and just part of another power dynasty that does want to let go. Not to mention helping bury women her husband screwed - Paula Jones, Genifer Flowers, Monica - so much for sisterhood. And then Hilary's comment of "as far as I know"regarding Obama not being a Muslim was sooo low. The Clintonian narcissm wrapping itself in populism and feminism is the real punch line.

Why doesn't Joan address that?

I will say my mom is a first wave, fifty-something feminist who supports Obama, so there's hope. And she wisely reminds me Obama is on the right path with so many people freaking out and tag-teaming to tear him down. The established power structure wouldn't be losing it if they weren't scared. Dude must be doing something right.

Also, I'm glad all the race/ preacher stuff came out now; it will be fatiqued by general election and McCain will pale next to Obama in debates. The non-stop hate machine against Obama will peter out.

Palin Ready on Day One? Whuh...?

So if McCain (oldest candidate ever) passes away, we are supposed to believe Palin is ready to jump in and lead the country with a special needs infant and a 17 year old with another baby on the way?

NUTS!! And I'd say the SAME THING IF THIS WERE THE DAD.

I have one four month old, non-special needs, a busy career, a loving spouse, wonderfully supportive parents and in-laws, and there's NO WAY I could handle that job.

Palins, Todd and Sarah, go back to Alaska and focus on your family. Save your political ambitions once the kids are taken care of.

Sheesh. I can't believe this even has to be said. I feel sorry for Bristol tossed into the spotlight at this fragile time.
