we *should* be teaching kids how to live in an ADULT world (um, which it is arguable that we don't have yet), NOT dumbing down the world to THEIR LEVEL...

(the first thing to teach them is that Authoritarianism is wrong and inhumane, and to think critically... secondly, that nearly all the adults they know are effectively FORCED to be liars, hypocrites, and almost always succumb to the unspoken rules of society which turns them into neutered know-nothings parrotting 'conventional wisdom' in place of rational thought...)

4. yeah, like our society *really* cares about kidz... no, what they ('our' (sic) leaders and the dominant paradigm) 'care about' is LOOKING LIKE they care about kids, mom, apple pie and flag... we don't actually DO ANYTHING to benefit our children EXCEPT have an economically unsustainable War Machine to enforce empire, which they will probably have to join because our shitty education system and jobless economy does not care about them...
