*sigh* not for nuthin'...

1. CENSORSHIP is CENSORSHIP; salon CENSORS... thus, they are NOT good pwogwessives (or even good citizens), as far as i'm concerned...

2. crybabies bitching about 'anonymous' posters are tiresome... besides a long, HONORABLE his story of anonymous writers deservedly afflicting the comfortable without fearing retaliation, there are MANY reasons why one chooses to do so: A. when applying for jobs, corporations, public institutions, and gummint agencies can/do perform searches on your online presence; now, if you're a babbity bunnyrabbit who only talks about puppydogs and butterflies, then who the fuck cares... *but* if you're a firebrand (*ahem*), a court jester with a taser (hhh), a self-appointed vengeful conscience haunting the bourgeoisie(*groan*), *THEN* you DO have something to fear from the powers-that-be googling your (merely) non-mainstream writings...

B. just *what is* anonymous here ? 'karen m' has ZERO meaning or relevance, and is JUST AS 'anonymous' as, well, 'anonymous'... *what* is your 'point' again ? now, having said that, i DO agree that if anonymous posters could distinguish between themselves so that you can reply directly to their comments, that would be preferable...

C. people WILL feel constrained (which is what the CENSORIOUS babbitry *really* want) to put their thoughts in strong words, WILL be afraid to communicate in raw language, WILL be unable to completely and freely speak their minds, for ALL KINDS of reasons... (and that is what the CENSORS want)

D. obviously, if a person is an insider, player, or otherwise a semi-public figure in the field/issue being discussed, then they are likely not to contribute to the discussion in any meaningful way, IF they know they are vulnerable to being pilloried (if not prosecuted) for casual remarks not intended to be the sum total of their views...

E. as a matter principle, if a person is against 'anonymous' posters, than they are most likely FOR CENSORSHIP; they are closely allied issues...

Original article: Healthy, my ass

more right than wrong...

1. um, am i missing something ? ? ? *didn't* she take extensive pains to NOT pass judgment on the aesthetics (eek!) of a big butt ? ? ? all the writers who bitched about that, please take two (fat) steps backward (if you can)...

2. isn't she concerned -almost exclusively- with the health/lifestyle/activity aspects of this phenomenon, and is genuinely concerned (to my reading) with their food/health choices and how that will effect their lives and their families ? ? ? but the big butt contingent said she was 'jealous'! ! !

3. i realize there are men (woman?) who fetishize just about anything, but -unless they are 'afraid' do admit it- all my horndog friends are more attuned to your 'girl next door', normal-sized wimmenz... i don't know anyone who admits to liking/wanting/desiring/fetishizing big butted or big everything wymenz... statistically, they have *got* to be almost insignificant numbers who 'adore' big butts/etc...

(really, bloated, flabby, jelly flopping around with stretch marks and discolored skin is 'attractive' ? ? ? really ? ? ? oooo-kay, if you say so... yuck )

4. i can't help but feel that 90% of the i-love-my-big-fat-body types are whistling past the graveyard... are you going to tell me that if they could wave a magic wand and be 'regular' without any effort or changing of foods that they wouldn't do so ? ? ? i don't believe you; and the one billion teevee ads an hour for jenny craig, weightwatchers, nutrisystem, not to mention the various diet nostrums, are telling me i'm more right than wrong...

Original article: Bad news dad

wow, so much yuppie scum with humorectomies...

EXCEPT FOR glenn greenwald, this will be the last time i darken the virtual portals of (not so) fair salon...

(not that the scolds, creepy closet-authoritarians, anti-free speechers, and limousine liberals who seem to dominate this place give a shit about anyone, much less a curt jester with a taser who is zapping your (metaphorically) fat asses...)

no, what rose is rose said HAD to be said; the idiotic and misguided reverence given to parenthood these days is weird... you fucked, she birthed, you've got a little nekkid ape... congratulations, morons have been doing that for millions of years...

the ongoing attempts to childproof the planet, raise the little monsters as if they are the alpha-and-omega of the universe, and totherwise have grown nekkid apes act as if their baby is the light of their life as it annoys EVERYONE else, is an ongoing BLOT on society, NOT a blessing...

senor rose was right, it is only a parents/grandparents (vain) love which keeps them from picking them up by their heels and flinging them over the nearest cliff about a hundred times before they 'grow up'...

('growing up' being a foreign concept in our infantalized society...)

YOUR kids are golden, everyone ELSE's kids are monsters...

sure, parents, that's right...

geezus, you scolds and asshats taking the writer to task for voicing what 99.99% of HONEST parents have thought, is quite openminded, tolerant, and intellectually not-defensive at all...

*snicker*

oh, one last time before i leave:

CENSORSHIP is antithetical to progressive values, PERIOD;

CENSORS are NOT progressives...

its real simple, but most pwogwessives find it too messy to adhere to as a principle...
