Jebbie, expert on fools
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Here is my original post:
Was wondering if anyone caught the butt-waxing New York TImes article yesterday, focus on McCain's Marine son. Half-way through the article, we find out that McCain's son went through his entire tour of duty without seeing any fighting--when the Marines represent a very disproportional number of wounded and dead during this mess. I wonder why Democrats haven't brought this up--I'm sure its a very unstable point, and could blow backwards, but why doesn't anyone ask McCain how his son has avoided combat?
This is what you said:
I was posting an idea that seemed interesting, though I never implied I had any evidence that McCain had done so. The only other person that attacked that idea, was a right wing-nut Proximity Warning. Then you jumped in. Things being what they are in this country, I certainly wouldn't be surprised, if McCain was sheltering his boy. My point which you won't adress, remains the same. In any conflict, there are going to be relatively safe areas, and very dangerous ones. The green zone is a relatively safe area, shelled for four consecutive days, only four people lost their lives out of tens of thousands. This seems hard for you to grasp. You've taken so many of my points out of context to prove your silly point, that I don't know how you possibly could have written this
"I take no joy in finding fault with folks who share my beliefs"
And why should I think twice before posting one of my ideas, anyway? Are you so afraid of other's ideas that you need to try to censor them with lies and disinformation?

I'm just venting here...
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But I am so sick of posting here in good faith and havign some old dumb-ass (and god, knows they seem to run the letters postings) who's mad at the world frustrate my attempts to have a discussion with people. I spent the whole day going back and forth with Jebbie. I've made this mistake so many times here--I take in good faith that someone has merely misunderstood my point, or that, in my rush to post, I mispoke. Only to find someone who's just out to get a rise out of someone, clothing themselves in the trappings of activism.
What is wrong with you people? All of the shit going on in the world, and you're going to spitefully pick apart the things that people say WHEN THEY AGREE WITH YOU? I took a long break from posting here because of these sour experiences, I just popped in to see what people would think of an idea that I had.
I have to say, that posting here has reduced my relish to read Glenn's work, which I used to love.

Jebbie, my hero...
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now that you've got another victory under your belt--having proven that the use of one word invalidates my entire theory--you can move on to other things. Perhaps you will get that new colostomy bag, or finally work out your prescriptions. Hurray, for you, you've saved the world again. My hero.

And...
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How could you be so purposefully obtuse. This has just really gotten my goat, I'm afraid. Am I to understand, that you can't see how someone with power could arrange for his son to serve in a unit assigned to a place that was to see combat? That would effectively mean that he was excluded from combat, you moron!

Jebbie,
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I reported no data, you nincompoop. I speculated. Do you understand the difference? By the way, here are some of your golden oldies.
Jebbie said:
"The balance of your post notwithstanding, Dipfuck"
"You are such a dick."
"There are enough things that McCain is either in favor of or responsible for which work against his candidacy, we don't need to tarnish his military service. He served honorably."
"Dipshit. Is there a law which precludes AT&T from obtaining this information and using it for marketing purposes?"

Wow, Jebbie

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Your implying that I am stupid because I left a word out of sentence. That just takes an untold amount of nobility.

Jebbie
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just leave this stupid shit alone, for christ's sake. Both of us have better things to do. Here's what. Let's agree to not comment on each other's posts. I certainly have never had anything to say about yours that weren't first solicited by a comment against one of mine.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was responding as I often do by shortening the handle. That being said, I can see where your going to have a problem with this one; since you've admitted you use phony aliases to bait people with, most people are going to assume this is you. Whether it is or isn't, is another matter. Personally, I don't know and I don't care. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Jebbie,
[Read the article: Cokie Roberts speaks out on the war on behalf of the American people]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Enough. I don't give a shit either way. Post whatever it is that's making your life seem at last worthwhile; yes, post, good sir, post away. Call me an idiot. Use the word, or squirrel around it, if you like. Call me whiny. Fill up your screen with these words, or their intimation, if that's what gives you pleasure. Certainly do whatever it is that you seem to with all your heart need to do. Do it now, do it tomorrow, do it forever. This is the last time that I will respond to you.
