Iokanan

The Telegraph had this the other day:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6521578/Fort-Hood-shooting-inside-story-of-how-massacre-on-military-base-happened.html

Other residents at the Casa del Norte apartment complex were surprised to see the mild-mannered army officer accompanied by another man in Islamic dress.

Alice Thompson, 53, who manages the two storey block of simple dwellings with her husband John, told The Sunday Telegraph: "It was very unusual because he had never had anyone round before. His visitor had long black hair and a moustache and a dark complexion. He stayed about five minutes and then left. We'd never seen him before."

The xenophobes were crowing all weekend about our ultra-liberal press who were failing to report on this Islamic Garbed stranger. But the "Islamic dress" is not specifically attributed to anyone and one wonders where it actually came from.

This always makes me laugh about you. You have the most arcane knowledge, apparently superior to eminent scientists, about melting points and etcetera, but you're unable to google a phrase to find its origin.

Hasan was assessing soldiers for deployment

I found this relevant:

On the base, Major Hasan was assigned to the psychiatric wards at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, military officials said. Col. John Rossi, deputy commander of Fort Hood, said Major Hasan’s function on base was the “assessment of soldiers before deployment.”

I can't imagine having that duty. It must be akin to certifying people on death row as sane enough to be executed.

Jon

Got you breathing deep and heavy

If by that you mean laughing my ass off, yes.

Monday, November 9, 2009 07:59 AM

My god Zorkna,

You went even too far for Jon-the-propagandist in Tel Aviv.

Zorkna

Please. I think the real reason you switch screen names so much is not because you get banned, but because you're simply embarrassed by your own actions.

Zorkna, you really can't be this stupid.

U.S. official: Obama won't cut military aid to Israel

U.S. President Barack Obama will not cut the billions of dollars in military aid promised to Israel, a senior U.S. administration official said Wednesday.

The $30 billion in aid promised to Israel over the next decade will not be harmed by the world financial crisis, the official told Israel Radio. He spoke on condition of anonymity.

I ask again, are all your beliefs similarly based on BS?

And this is totally false

Third, aid agreements between the two nation are ALREADY on a course to wind down in the next few years to near zero levels.

Israel and the United States signed Thursday a Memorandum of Understanding on the new American defense package for Israel. Under the new aid agreement, the U.S. will transfer $30 billion to Israel over 10 years, compared with $24 billion over the past decade.

The aid deal signed at represents a 25 percent rise in U.S. military aid to Israel.

Israel is not Sudan. They have everything to lose by becoming an official pariah state. Its exactly what eventually straightened out S. Africa. That's why US backing in the UN is so important in the first place, you numbskull. Why would they be doing it, if it wasn't necessary?

If I've failed in one area, its my inability to make you read what I wrote. I tried reading it for you, using remote viewing and transmitting the information in a one to one brain link, but something blocked our communion. Sorry.

You really are illiterate. I was just trying to insult you at first, but now I feel bad about it. Its probably not your fault.

I won't spend much time going over your apparent illiteracy. I wrote in my comment that this kerfuffle had prompted me to visit the blog!

As for your obsession with the ellipses, I already dispatched one of you goons. Read this and share in his pwnage! Served.

Reading comprehension is not for everyone. Glenn not only gave that oil-fish a compliment on the way in to the story, he gave him one on the way out...if he didn't include the caveats it might have been because tehy weren't relevant. He had already mentioned the regular caveating. Then he gave that same huckster a compliment on the way out, via:

The New York Times' Robert Mackey did an equally comprehensive job of live-blogging the media reports, and his contemporaneous compilation reflects many of these same glaring errors in the coverage:

Its pretty simple. Turn it into a grudge match if you like, but it only makes you look like a bitter freak.

What I see is a c-list blogger trying to append himself to a better brand. It did drive up the response rate over there, I noticed, so perhaps it worked. The price--looking like a paranoid illiterate drunk--is quite high, but perhaps worth it.

What made me laugh when I visited Patterico's blog is the devotion his minions have for the sock-puppet mythology. Even if it were true--which is doubtful--that was two years ago! Its like listening to your uncle talk about the time he ran into John Ritter on the street.
