She is less worried about that her husband will be bored and more about her husband just being there. She wants to be Belle of the Ball and hopes the crushes that she had will see her now and either sweep her off into that fantasy life she wants or will look at their own wives and weep for what they missed. Guess what? Neither will happen. You have a career you love, a husband you seem to love, and a life you love, who cares what people in high school are doing or think of you? Unless of course you really are that shallow and need the "cool kids" approval which is sad, very sad.

Sadly, I am not even shocked about this. The Dems have failed once again to do defeat the President despite overwhelming public support. The only hope I have is that the Dems can shove this issue down the GOP's throats enough to make them gag on it.

I just don't think the Democratic Party right now will even be able to use this vote against the GOP effectively. One clever GOP spin person successfully ties the SCHIP vote to being soft on terrorism and the Dems will cave.

AND yes I am frustrated at the Democratic Party. Yes I do work on campaigns locally and give money and write letters and make phone calls. The Democratic Party is in danger of becoming the first Majority party that lets the minority party set the agenda.

Sometimes I wonder if George W Bush will even allow elections to take place. What better way to secure your power than saying it is unsafe for people to vote and thus no elections until we have won the war on terror in 50-70 years or so. I know it will not happen that way, but sometimes I do wonder.
