Wright and Hagee

Blacks are not in good shape when it comes to mental health; they tend to believe all sorts of conspiratorial theories to explain their situation. Wright only encourages this very negative process.

As for Hagee, it is clear that Christian anti-semitism prepared the way for Hitler's genocide. The Catholic church in many countries -- especially Poland and eastern Europe -- offered nothing to anyone who wanted to help Jews. Jews were permanent victims and many were happy with what the Germans were doing. The papal record of inaction needs no explanation from me.

If there is a God those Catholics and Christians who preached anti-Jewish hatred had better beware. Pope included.

obama's wright

If America were as bad as Jeremiah Wright thinks then no one like Obama would ever have been so close to the Presidency.

two unelectable Democrats

Jeremiah Wright has doomed Obama's run for the presidency and Bill Clinton has done the sme for Hillary. The Democratic leaders must wish they had held both of them off at the pass. what is needed is a white male with real experience and no clerg problems: Joe Biden or Chris Dodd.

Joan is up to something

Joan Walsh is clearly part of the vast leftwing feminist conspiracy to put the Witch Hillary in the White House. They have no scruples about using racist appeals and giving the GOP material for November. However they are on the wrong path. As they make it impossible for Obama to win, they make it equally impossible for Hillary since she will lose the black vote big time. McCain will be able to pretend he is a racial liberal and even pick up black votes, those who don't want to stay home if Hillary is on the ballot. Every pained expression I have seen on Joan's face on tv conveys the pain of pushy women outraged that their chance for power might be lost. Joan is also Catholic -- remember how Catholics voted in Pennsylvania. A vast feminist-Catholic conspiracy?

American elections are not bean bag

I've been re-reading a recent book on the Adams-Jefferson political activities in the 1796 and 1800 elections. We are mistaken if we think our founders were any better, any fairer, any more highminded than our current crop of political aspirants. This country in 1800 almost fell apart because the election for president went to the House of Representatives. It was either dumb luck or a divine miracle (leftists say dumb luck, rightists a miraclel) that the country survived its second real presidential election. So let's lighten up a bit.

obama and wright

Wright and the black churches can pursue their version of paranoid religion, plenty of white redneck preachers do the same. But it Obama thinks he will get to the White House without a thorough break with Wright and the whole black church syndrome he is very much mistaken. McCain will bury him.

bill kristol

There is nobody on the Fox network more obnoxious than Bill Kristol, a Likudnik right out of central casting. You don't have to be an anti-semite to hate his guts!

karl Rove and the Democrats

Well, perhaps you could learn something from him. Like not having the choice be between a lying witch who could never be elected and a black man who could never be elected. I am sure Rove would have found an alternative.

Jews and Israel

Outside of orthodox Jews, there is no religious content in Judaism. Support of Israel is all there is. Which is funny because all the religions of the ancient world, Judaism, Roman and Greek religion, etc., were essentially religions of a national community. Judaism began as a national religion and with the re-establishment of Israel as a state has returned to this status. There is, I repeat, no religious content as we know it, in Judaism. That's why Jews feel compelled to support Israel despite its integral nationalism (a word which means 'on the way to fascism.')

Jews would do well either to get a religion that's really a religion or give it all up. Support of Israel is probably anti-American. But Irish Catholics have supported the IRA terrorists in Northern Ireland. Their religion had become entirely nationalist. So Jews are not the only ones.

Electro Robot: what is there about Judaism as more an ethnic identity than a religion you don't understand?

Clinton on race

If Hillary wants to do something about the racial divide she should:

1. give up the race for the nomination.

2. divorce Bill.

3. do penance.

4. retire to private life and leave us all alone.

Original article: Obama: "I am outraged"

obama and wright

The comments of Obama and Michelle Obama sound like pulling teeth. They really don't like attacking Wright but have to for political reasons. All the more reason for regarding them as insincere and opportunistic. Not that Hillary is sincere and inopportunistic. But neither one generates much confidence. The next president will be John McCain.

bush and mccain

Yes, every candidate has a Rev. Wright in his past. McCain has Bush, the worst ever president. Hillary has Bill, the worst ever husband and political surrogate.

But not all dangers are the same. McCain can manage Bush and Hillary knows how to manage Bill. But Barack seems insincere in his condemnations of Wright. Michelle Obama seems very reluctant to say anything against Wright. This will hurt them in Indiana and may end their presidential bid.

I am convinced McCain will be our next president. Neither Obama not Clinton have a prayer.

early Rome

The virtuous early Rome is a myth made up by Livy and Plutarch. Rousseau once remarked that Rome began to degenerate very early on, probably in the 4th century BC. As Pushkin remarked, those damned Jesuits have sold us a lot of nonsense.

indiana will be disastrous

The superdelegates and other democratic bigwigs had better get together and find an alternative to Clinton or Obama, neither of whom can win in Nov. They should get Dodd, Biden or in a pinch Gore to become the nominee. Otherwise, you'll say hello to President McCain.
