Given the way Hillary has been deceitful, duplicitous, and just plain nasty in this race with Obama I hope the voters retire her and Bill for good.
LOOK, WOMEN AREN'T VERY BRIGHT. NEITHER ARE MEN. THE INTELLECTUAL LEVEL OF AMERICANS IS DEPLORABLE. WE DESERVED BUSH.
Why don't women with big bottoms and hips like Hillary wear loose dresses; they would look so much better. Better yet, why do woman wear pants suits. Dresses are more attractive and in no way inhibit movement in normal working conditions. There is something evil in the pants suit mania.
Apparently neither McCain, nor Clinton, nor Obama can resist the pressure of the Israel Lobby and the Evangelical Zionist Lobby.
Spitzer is not a tragic figure and the scandal is not tragic. It is comic. Here is a spoiled child of the Jewish bourgeoisie given to Pharisaical pronouncements brought low by his own uncontrolled drives and his sense of superiority and entitlement. No Greek playwright would see an Oedipus here -- only a character out of Juvenal, and a junvenile one at that.
When you "embed" a journalist with the troops you guarantee that he will parrot what the troops tell him to write.
Prof. Cole is right about how McCain has changed and not for the better. I got turned off to McCain for these very reasons since 2000. However, if Hillary wins the Dem nomination I shall vote for McCain, while holding my nose. I will do anything to stop the Clintons from imposing their arrogant entitlementism and vicious partisanship on this country again.
Instead of lamenting that only 25% of whites in Mississippi voted for Obama why not think that this is progress in the most backward and racist southern state?
Obama's connection with his dubious pastor will doubtlessly sink his candidacy with whites. Clinton can be counted on the sink her own candidacy simply by being Hillary. McCain will win. He must begin to move away from Bush on the war issue and his closeness to Petreus who is already signaling his dismay at out non-policy policy in Iraq will push McCain to move in a new direction. As unlikely as this seemed months ago McCain may well be our next president -- baring a real economic crisis. McCain will have to label Bush as Hoover before the Democrats succeed in droping the Hoover mantle on him.
Obama is toast! Burnt toast! Let's all get ready for President McCain.
Interesting, the most inarticulate candidate for president endorses the most articulate.
McCain is hanging around with Lieberman and the other Likudnik Zionists; that sends shivers down my spine.
What a mess the Democrats have gotten into. Naively thinking race could be overcome they invested heavily in Obama and now racist Catholics and other whites are giving them their comuppance. Hillary cannot win, she is the most distrusted female in the land. Obama cannot win. Democratic leaders might wish they had held him off at the pass with a posse led by a white male like Dodd or Biden. Get ready for President McCain.
Jaon wants class warfare to be the theme of the election. This is unfortunate because Americans don't like this (even if they should) and the GOP always gets the better of it. Obama cannot get white racist Catholics to vote for him. We forget perhaps the Catholic opposition to school busing in Boston. The fact that Catholic neighborhoods are usually all white bastions in the midst of black ghettos. Catholics may want to act and think like Vatican II has made a difference but in fact they still cling to Vatican I: to its peasant-like solidarity, its anti-semitism, its fear of change.
The reason for the stalemate is that both candidates are dreadfully flawed. Hillary is a liar and unelectable. Barack is black and we are not ready for a black president and a first lady prancing around the white house in her bare big black feet!
Both Hillary and Barack had better plan what they will do after November. Neither can win. Hillary could go back to baking cookies. Barack might want to think about joining a NGO of some sort. Politics is over for both of them. The Rev. Wright has finally nailed Obama's coffin tightly shut. Hillary already is the most disliked and mistrusted female in American history.
It is time to stop apologizing. The Clintons never apologize.
Of course McCain, along with the two Democrats, is in the pocket of the Israel Lobby. They and Bush have given us a war we had better learn to love because there is no quick way to end it and get out of Iraq.
The one hope is that McCain, as he is publicly distancing himself from Bush on a variety of issues, will also come to see the folly of our Iraq war. That doesn't mean we can get out quickly but it might mean he will stiff arm the Israel Lobby a bit better than the other candidates would have -- certainly better than Bush who has collaborated with the worst Likud elements in Israel's government.
Even crazy preachers, like the one in There Will Be Blood, sometimes tell the truth. Jeremiah Wright is able to shine a true light on American sins while he encourages the already paranoid and mentally sick black community to indulge even further in unhelpful behavior and belief. John Hagee is obsessed with the usual nonsense you find among evangelicals but he looks correctly at the Catholic Church which more than any other institution is responsible for the murder of 6 million Jews by the Nazis through its two thousand year long program of vicious anti-semitism.
The only question left is this: why do rational people allow these preachers to continue?
Fugetaboutit! We don't care if Muslims suspected of terrorism are made uncomfortable. We are not the ACLU. We are Americans.
According to American standards, which are different from Latin American standards, even different from Nazi standards, the slightest drop of black blood pollutes forever. Obama is black, therefore.
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
