No, the reason Republicans like Obama is

is that in their world, a black first term senator simply cannot be elected president. Do you really believe the party of the soft-sell KKK in a 3-piece suit would ever allow an African American to win a single Southern State? This is not cynicism folks--this is party that can't be bothered to show up for a debate hosted by any black organization, period.

At the same time the right is terrified of Clinton popularity, particulary Bill's. They know not to underestimate the power of a family name.

Admire Obama? Whitey, please. Republicans do not admire candor, honesty and integrity. If they did, they wouldn't vote republican. It's on the state of Arizona that elected John McCain.

That said, the real problem is Democrats inability to ignore the right wing and it's media players. If we were as serious about power as god knows the republicans are, we would ignore everything the right wing say about our candidates, choose a contender and back him or her until our feet are sore and our voices hoarse. If y'all haven't noticed, that's how they do it.

In 30 years of watching corrupt and incompetent Republicans win elections from schoolboard to President we Democrats have learned very little.

I have a preference, but whether our candidate is Obama, Hillary or Edwards I will support him or her with every ounce of energy I can muster. I suggest you do the same or continue to watch our republic disappear.

Original article: Ask the pilot

Maybe it's the scotch talking, but I could land a 737 in a hurricane

Jus gibe me the plane. And I'll land it. Dammit. How dareyou say

I can't land a plane. This is America and if I want to land a damn plane

i'll land it. Who was the ifrst person on the block to own and figure

out how to program a vcr? Yours truly.

Who was the first person to figure out how to program the TiVo? (thumbs pointed at myself).

Darn know it all surgeonsn and pilots think they know it all because they've gone to "school" and hd so much "training."

I can work a computer and I can ride a bike. Bike + compuewr = plane.

Next time the pilot pukes and faints on board, I'm taking the cockpit.

Nulla Sallus: tough as a cotton puff

Since when do you, or any anti-lifers, take orders from "eco rads"?

Let me translate your letter. 'Since I don't want to do anything, and the most radical 5% of the environmentalist wing say it's too late anyway, I'm going to throw that in your faces as my reason for doing nothing, when really it's my own obstinance and laziness.'

Or in other words--typical regressive response.

Since conservatives are no longer conservative it's simply wiser to call them regressives.

Thank god someone has the courage to take on 'Big ebook'

Don't let the little 'e' fool you. They want us all--the literary beautiful, sci fi geeks, Libary regulars, bespectacled Western Hemispherites from 8 to 80, sexy librarians, subway readers, secretaries with a romance novel habit, smug & weepy lefties, smug & smirking right wingers, and self helpers gobbling Depak Chopra and Rich Dad Poor Dad books like so much popcorn.

No one is safe.

Except me.

I'm tired of all gadgets not sold at Toys in Babeland

"Struggling with a single lifestyle?"

If you're a healthy, Salon-reading professional living in (mostly) free America and your biggest struggle is being single, you have no problems, Jack. Or Jacqueline.

When I'm single

Nothing beats my imagination, hands and some sexy, dirty music.

Sorry to be so explicit.

I don't get dolls.

Jonah Goldberg and Glenn Reynolds warn of "social unraveling" if Obama loses

Social unraveling. In other words, black men chasing after our pure, white women. Ah Republicans, at least you can count on their pure racist hearts staying the same.

The right wing need a new Pearl Harbor to inspire (scare)

us into supporting their disasterous, expensive, bloody policies. Watch for that Pearl Harbor even folks.

Got to have that dissenting voice

That represents 99% of the US powerstructure. Aside from internet, TV, billboards, movies, history books, magazines, products, and basically the air we breathe---how else are they going to get their message across? Enron, Halliburton, GE, Murdoch, ADM, Dow all Good. Populism (i.e. people) "bad for America." (Brit Hume, Fox news)
