Original article: Disappointed by Rick Warren

Disappointed by Rick Warren?

Rick Warren has not changed one iota from where he has always said he believed. Why be disappointed by him? He should feel honored that the president-elect asked him to give his invocation. It provides Obama with big name recognition, something Obama admires more than anything and approval from people who often don't approve of Obama. Joan, I am more disappointed in you. You allowed your friends at Salon.com to support Obama and you yourself turned against Hillary and supported him too. Obama has always been about focusing attention on himself and not much else. It was clear throughout the campaign and is true now. Selecting Rick Warren allows Obama to eat up more news time and gain attention from more people. The focus is once again on him. I am not waiting for Obamabots to turn against him, the furor over FISA didn't last too long. I continue to feel disgust for what the Democrats have become. I still consider myself a liberal democrat but not as a party affiliation. What happened this year is nothing but a poor excuse for a presidential election. It was basically run for and by corporations so that they could make more bang for their buck and get some entertainment value out of it. The country's government has become nothing but another prime time reality show.
