Isn't it funny how "Americans are sick and tired of this kind of gutter politics" when it's not the Republicans doing the guttering? But "the American people always want to get to the bottom of" whatever stupidass gutter political crap the Republicans want to dish to trash any Dem, Liberal, or Progressive who has the temerity to point out their hypocrisy, lying, and fraud.

McCain should just tell everyone he has a wide stance, go into alcoholic rehab, and be done with it.

This couldn't have happened to a more sanctimonious hypocrite.

  • Agree and Agree

I Agree: I enjoy your writing style, King, so I enjoy reading your column - great insights, too, usually.

I agree: I like the video, too. Your humor still came through - good Michael Moore man on the street imitation - and it is much more amusing than the talking head stuff the other Salon writers produce. You do look better than your cartoon.

I also really hope that you warned that poor fellow that you were going to be rude to him, on camera, for all the world to see - how bery bery Borat of you

  • For real??

Wow, you people just have no sense of humor do you.

Honestly?? Frank the Tank in Old School isn't one of the funniest roles in a generation?? When he tastes beer again for the first time in a long time - 'tastes so good on the lips' - when he's streaking through a Snoop Dog concert and through the town 'ya think the KFC's still open' - 'you're my boy, blue!' - When he does his ribbon dance?? I mean, the whole movie is funny mostly because of him.

Every SNL character he played? He OWNED SNL for about 10 years running, and it hadn't been funny for a long time after he left [it's rebounding this year]. 'I need more cow bell' - the SNL writers LOVED writing for him because he is so versatile and side-splitting. 'I love it when you call me Big Pappa - Goulet'

Elf is a great movie - and only he could have the played role with such awkward innocence and joy. He was adorable AND funny.

I'll stop now because the list of his funny movies and roles is too numerous for me to continue, really. The fact that you don't find him funny says more about your lack of humor than about him.

His warped view of the world is exactly what the doctor ordered.

  • Classified information?

[Read the article: McCain worries al-Qaida will attack to keep him out of office]

would those "intercepts" not be classified and why the hell is he repeating them? [well, we know why, of course. Dumb question]. He's so full of shit.... what did I see someone call it? The Stray Talk Excess... ah yes.....

  • McCain is even wrong about...

[Read the article: McCain's repeated "slips of the tongue" on Iran and al-Qaida]

Iran helping extremists in Iraq. The US military and the Iraqi government have repeatedly given Iran credit for actually helping to stem the tide of weapons, resources and fighters going into Iraq from Iran. Initially Iran was indeed helping to smuggle weapons and fighters in gov't to Iraq, but then, our military and the Iraqi *engaged* them in a *dialog* - horror of naive horrors!! >gasp< - and it actually worked. But they'll have to pry the nukes from McCain's cold, dead hands before *he'll* ever have a dialog with Iran. That'll show 'em.
