Barone may say that he was trying to be humorous, but the fact is that many of these lunatics really believe that "liberals" don't like Sarah Palin because she didn't abort her child.
Where does this come from? Are they saying that, if you're pro-choice, you are automatically in favor of aborting children with Down syndrome, and that you believe every woman should do this?
Do they understand at all what "choice" means?
I respect the choice Sarah Palin made with all my heart. I think it is an act of courage and compassion to take on the challenge of raising a child with Down syndrome. But, the fact is that she wants to take away this choice from anyone else.
She was 86, wasn't she? Just what would it take to make her death not startling to you?
Oh wait, I forgot. It gives you yet another chance to talk about yourself and "Sexual Personae".
I'm sending this to everyone I know.
Make way for the likes of Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakhan, Wright, noble model citizens all, ready for cabinet appointments.
And when this doesn't happen, are you going to come back here and say that you were wrong?
No, you won't, because you're a chickenshit loser.
Sorry, I know we're supposed to be ignoring these trolls, but enough is enough.
Go away and take your hate with you.
I won't be able to get to my polling place until at least 5:00 p.m., and I have no idea what kind of line there will be at that time. But, I'll wait as long as I have to.
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, we always watched Polka Varieties on Sunday afternoons. Paul Wilcox, polka bands and smiling dancers! What more could you want? I believe it ran well into the 1970's.

I guess the only way to ruin a good polka is by making it about Sarah Palin!
Sarah, SarahStorms are brewin' in your eyes
Sarah, Sarah
No time is a good time for goodbye
Actually, next week would be a great time for goodbye!
I thought the Obamas only ate fried chicken, ribs and watermelon, and drank Kool-Aid!
Clearly, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing here.
I'd love to see you on The Colbert Report or The Daily Show. Glenn Greenwald too.
It says that Fedele apologizes to anyone who was offended. I think that's a (pretty typical) cop-out. She should have said, "I apologize for being offensive."
He should have been depicted eating arugula and drinking a Starbucks, right?
I wish these folks would make up their minds.
I think it was actually "Quill him!", shouted by an audience member carrying a porcupine.
I highly doubt that. Both candidates had to know that their reactions were being broadcast at least part of the time.
I agree that Obama could probably have hidden his reactions a little better. (I get the impression that he was thinking, and I would agree with him, "Can you actually believe this shit?")
McCain, on the other hand, looked alternately disoriented, apoplectic, pissed off, and petulant.
Have we ever seen a man who is less temperamentally suited to be President than John McCain? I know W. gives him a run for his money, but I think McCain has even him beat in terms of petulance and snark.
I guess I understand Pasolini's point, in conflating the sexual "depravity" depicted by deSade with fascism.
But, going back to deSade, what was his point in writing the "120 Days of Sodom" in the first place? In the context of the place and time that was written, was the impetus similar to Pasolini's? Who or what was he indicting?
Gosh, there are about 40 letters here, and I don't think I read any that said the film should be banned or that people who appreciate it are immoral. So, I'm not sure why anyone is being accused of being a "neo-Victorian".
I sometimes wish that I could view a film like this, but I honestly don't think that I could. I understand that it's important to confront the themes that are addressed within it, but I just don't want those images in my mind. (I realize that it's a luxury to be able to have that choice. I'm thankful for that.)
Recorded and transribed.
Not just listened to. Personal, intimate, private and innocent telephone conversations between American citizens. Recorded and transcribed.
Anyone who tries to spin this is beyond redemption.
