Another Brand New Troll

Obama was going to end the wars, pass universal healthcare, stop torture, clean up Washington, etc. etc. etc. the Liberal's wet dream, and all you clowns ripping on the "teabaggers" were right there cheering with the rest of the suckers who got Obamaconned. You fell for Obama's smooth words hook, line, and sinker, and have the gall to mock others as delusional.

Obama has been in office for about three months. You were expecting him to accomplish all of those things in that amount of time?

Look, Obama is far from perfect. But, my question still stands: What, exactly are these protests about, and why are they happening now?

@Nathan Coker

Yeah, all women who need Plan B are sluts, aren't they? How about this scenario?

"Hey Doc, looks like I messed up again. Got drunk, slept with a stranger, didn't wear a condom. Oh well, I'll take an order of Valtrex, and you know what, throw in a little Pencillin for safe measure. Good thing that I'm a guy and I don't need that Plan B!"

Or are the guys who sleep with those girls all fine, upstanding citizens who just couldn't help themselves when faced with such wily seductresses?

@Event Horizon

I don't begrudge anyone's wealth if it was made in an honest fashion.

But that's what we need to find out, isn't it? Who has been honest and who hasn't? Or are you OK with lying, cheating and stealing?

This has less to do with class envy than it does with a justifiable fear of oligarchy, which isn't supposed to be what this country is about.

Original article: How to pronounce Sotomayor

I guess I could maybe understand the situation if...

...this was a common last name that someone insisted on pronouncing differently. (For example, if Andrew insisted on being called Andrew Le-NARD, instead of Andrew LEN-ard.) But, I would bet that most Americans have never encountered the last name of "Sotomayor" before, so I say that, in that case, you find out how it's pronounced and that's the pronuniciation you use.

This isn't much different than, oh, I don't know...say, Barack Obama. I know that I had never encountered this name before 2004. I heard the correct pronunciation, and it's the one I continue to use. I don't see it as a problem. But then, I'm not an idiot.

Oh, and let's not forget Stephen col-BEAR!

@farragut

If you really believe that Roeder was a "lone crazy guy", then you haven't been paying attention to the organized campaign of intimidation and violence against abortion clinics and abortion providers that has been taking place in this country since the 1980's.

Original article: Rush Limbaugh's new low

Bankrupt

The Republican party is joining the growing list of bankruptcies in this country. Except in this case, it isn't financial, but, rather, moral and intellectual.

There is no bail-out for this.

@pulleco

You know nothing about Tiller or his patients. Absolutely nothing. That is painfully obvious from your comments.

Please educate yourself about why late-term abortions are performed. Read the stories of women who were confronted with the need to make this choice.

Are you interested in letting go of some of the hate?

Thursday, June 11, 2009 08:36 AM

Hate

The women who went to Dr. Tiller didn't hate.

Dr. Tiller didn't hate.

Those who want to keep abortion legal and safe don't hate.

Where is all the hate?

Protesters who stand outside of clinics and harass women hate.

Television pundits who compare abortion providers to Nazis hate.

The man who murdered Dr. Tiller hates.

Empathy

Empathy is the ability to identify with someone else's situation. Those who fan the flames of hatred imagine that they empathize with the unborn baby. But, if the result of that empathy is hate, then I believe it is false empathy. Empathy for show.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. When Jesus instructed the crowd of people who were about to stone the woman accused of adultery, he didn't say, "Let he who is without an equal or greater sin cast the first stone." He said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

This eliminates every last one of us. None of us are qualified to throw stones.

So What Does This Mean For The Rest Of Us?

From what I understand here, you can break the law and not be investigated or prosecuted, but if you exceed certain limits, you might be in trouble, right?

I hope someone makes up a list that translates this into terms that I can make sense of.

For example, killing is clearly illegal, but maybe not if I don't exceed the limits. So, how many people can I kill and in what manner while still maintaining my innocence?

How much money can I steal from a bank before my limit is exceeded? (I sure hope it's more than my daily ATM allowance! I think that's only $200.00.)

Someone needs to get to work on this right away. I've got big plans.

Suffice it to say, we already have universal health care.

No, I'm sorry, that does not suffice, "doctorfixit". You can't make an outrageous statement like that and expect us to think it is factual.

And it's kind of amusing that you can call Democrats/liberals "fascists" and "nazis", as well as make the claim that "white men" are going to pay for this, and then accuse Reich of lies and propaganda.

Self-awareness is a good thing. You should look into it.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 02:26 PM

Great Idea!

Yes, Republicans did so badly in the last couple of elections because they aren't conservative enough.

Please stick with that strategy! I think it's a real winner.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 11:02 AM

Please Mr. President

Please get health care reform enacted so that people like terkoy, LuchAAA, and LondonLad, etc., can get the psychiatric care they so desperately need, and please fix the economy, so that they can also get jobs, instead of spending hours and hours and hours writing letters to Salon every day.

Thank you.

The trailer seems to think his name is Nikki.

Original article: What Orly Taitz believes

Steele the First

This is not merely a case of having a different belief.

Taitz's claims are not different beliefs - they are delusions. They are lies. And they are feeding the larger delusions of a mob that looks to be getting dangerous.

Can you really not see the difference?
