Because their guy didn't get there first.....and they're not calling the shots anymore. Poor babies......sniff..sniff
Your moonbat quote is only the beginning. Next we'll hear that Obama confirmed on Arab airwaves that he, too, is a Muslim. See? We told you so....and on and on. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
If he has anyone advising him on how he looks (not the hair, the idiocracy), he not listening. He at least gives us a diversion from the real issues bedeviling us. Palin did the same, until she wore it into the ground ad nauseum. Let's hope Blago joins the "reality-based community" before that happens.
Alfred E. Neuman Lives!
In the disquieting last hours of the Bush administration, (disquieting for me because of what I was afraid he could still do), your report confirms the U.S. was obligated to continue the Gaza bloodletting.
What is not stated (because it can't be) is what Barack Obama was advised by intelligence to countermand his stated plans for "foreign policy?" I ask what has been the rhetorical question for decades. Are the facts of the Holocaust and a wealthy, Jewish lobby residing in this country sufficient to jeopardize this country to this extent, at this time?
For me to learn of Obama's directive to carry out these covert actions, at the cost of millions more from our Treasury while paying lip-service to me about restoring integrity around the world, restoring confidence in our elected officials.....well, Bullsh**!
Do you think Obama is going to present himself, now that this story is out, all over the world, and explain his commitment of our resources, military and financial, to this latest Israeli secret operation? He knows we've had eight years of this crap, obfuscation and secrecy, and as far as I'm concerned Barack Obama just punched his own ticket with me.
Is Israel going to find me a job? Is Israel going to pay my mortgage payment to forestall foreclosure? Is Israel going to get my heart medicine?
I'm done with Obama already.
..and Obama faces crises, here and abroad, that are daunting. He will have what critics will class as failings, but not for lack of trying. At the first sign of blood in the water the waiting sharks will attack. Congressional Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats have sealed obstruction on the stimulus. Those who want Barack Obama to succeed will wring their hands and those who don't will cry, "We told you so!"
Although it was a long campaign, we're finally at the point where the rubber meets the road. We hope he can deliver, but will our cynicism not allow any missteps? Obama needs to be given the chance to rectify the train-wreck of a presidency he swears an oath to in three days.
Unless he has been playing a shell game for the last two years, the very least those who wanted that change can do is to continue that support.
Cranial Rectalitis to the enth degree....is it terminal?
Tired of hearing Dubya has "saved" us from another major attack. Prove it. Nothing happened so he must be given credit for nothing happening. Prove it. You can't. You can't prove a negative.
But the decider-in-chief is more than happy to take credit for something positive on his watch knowing, in the interests of national security of course, that he doesn't have to prove it, just claim it.
@Glenn Greenwald
In reading your piece, it reinforced something that has crossed my mind on several occasions since September 2008; that is, the tenor and tone of your writing relative to Barack Obama has been growing 'louder', strident even. This is not a criticism. I'm convinced you have become one of the leading bellwethers who will cut Obama no slack in focusing attention on his promises and performance in our interests. You are already aware of how many times and places you, and your opinions, have been given attribution in print and internet venues. Kudos for using your ability to be heard on behalf of all like-minded people who, like me, can only write letters to editors or other singular efforts.
Please take care and thank you.
They used a the ole' cane hook to pull a performer off the stage when audience reaction showed they'd over-stayed their welcome....time for Palin to exit stage left as they say.
If she's serious about staying in politics and looking beyond Alaska, she should zip it - go back to school or be tutored until she is conversant in the basics which underscored her gaffs. She seems not to grasp that the Republican power brokers now view her as an embarrassment.
A little goes a long way when it comes to Palin; she keeps proving the point that she is way out of her league. We have some real domestic/global issues to deal with right now and she is definitely not one of them.
Get that hook...............
