I saw that he's radio contract is getting renewed(by Clear Channel's radio arm of course) .. for 10 million/yr for 5 years .. my question is .. if he has so many radio listeners .. why aren't his TV ratings better? They are just as bad(or even worse) as Tucker Carlson(albeit on a different network). How can you have such a huge(supposedly) radio audience and yet no one tunes you in on TV?

to answer your question ... right wingers will never apologize .. it's not what they do ... the only thing they might apologize for is not attacking their enemies(which include Democrats) hard enough .. and look at Hillary .. she won't apologize for her vote .. and it is clear as to why .. she is part of that foreign policy establishment

If there is a huge landslide .. the media will have to start being more honest about the Democrats .. because ultimately .. it is about access .. If I were John Edwards or Barack Obama .. why would I give Halperin or Joe Klein the light of day? I'd have to find someone who was better than the Democrats .. either that .. or hold more press conferences .. or speeches from the WH to get my points out there ... a president that knew how to work things could really render someone like Klein to the dustbin of history .. do we have that savy of a candidate? .. I don't know .. it seems that the media was sucked into Rove's whole .. "Lasting Republican majority" crap .. and is still stuck in that mindset

I wish Krugman would call out "Bobo" Brooks by name ... just once .. a lot of us know that Krugman(and Hebert) were calling out Brooks .. but I doubt a lot of readers were making the connection .... what is interesting about the comments at WaPo is how many of them are anti-Bush .. maybe it has changed in the past month or so .. but 5 or 6 months ago ... it was 95% against .. even if half of them were drivel .. if the media and powers that be don't realize something is happening(one can look at the money Ron Paul is raising .. whether you agree with him on anything or not) .. and those powers that be must be crapping their pants .. have any of us ever seen this kind of push back by the traditional media before? Not only that .. but how far they lower themselves .. is CNN that desperate .. that Anderson Cooper has to go on Glenn Beck? .. and that Cooper has to host Beck on his show?

I don't get it. Here is a guy who twenty five years ago wrote an autobiography about Woody Guthrie. What caused him to write about Woody? What made him compelling enough that Klein wanted to write about him? And what has happened in the intervening years? It's obvious Klein has become the worst kind of hack. Has he become infected with Beltway fever? Has be fallen under the spell of hacks like Broder, Friedman and Brooks?

and just watch the Republicans if the Dems win back the WH ... they'll rediscover their oversight duties .. and they'll be all for habeus corpus(afraid that Hillary .. if she wins .. will toss a bunch of them in jail) .. against waterboarding .. you name it ... it will truly be astonishing

I just emailed her asking if we'll get an explanation. I emailed her because she is supposed to run Swampland. I find it appaling that Rep. Holt didn't get to post his statement on Swampland. The traditional media is indeed broken.
