gets it. It's not just television, and I don't even live in NYC---I live in the red part of a blue state! Yes, it's sad.....and it's sad because of this dichotomy, and because of people in the city who refuse to admit that maybe the reason people actually vote republican is not because they're assholes but because maybe they'll see the silver lining in the big pile of crap they live in, and this goes double for women. It may be misguided but they live for their immediate lives, and politicians don't play to this.

  • tag-teamed

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I was recently tag-teamed by two good friends who are men. They both assumed that I was a Clinton supporter because I was a woman and known feminist. They condescended to explain to me (in the absence of any commentary from me about this election, ever) that she was losing and should just get out of the race. I was so mad that they made this assumption. It is profoundly agency evacuating to say that I have no opinion of my own, and that it must be obvious because of my gender. Later, I was cornered at a work retreat by my male colleagues (90% of my department is male) who demanded to know how I was taking the "loss" as they put it.

The Obama boys are annoying as heck. It makes me want to vote for Hillary just to spite them but the mature, independent and yes, intelligent woman in me knows to make the decision out of other motives. Why can't men see this? It is not women who are making these assumptions.

  • Wright's gift to Obama

[Read the article: Obama "outraged" by Wright]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

was delivered on Monday. Do you really think that Wright is that crazy? He did that on purpose to give Obama and clean "out" on this ridiculous controversy that has lasted far too long.

  • Webb? How predictable......

[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Can't blame triangulation on the Clintons alone now. Face it, the GOP won the culture war and now Dems have to respond to the institutionalization of their agenda.

"That's why I passed laws moving people from welfare to work ..."--Barack Obama, in his first post-primary TV ad. From Klaus files on Slate.com

  • Does anyone remember Anita Hill?

[Read the article: Could be Biden time]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

All anyone who opposes Obama has to do is find footage of the Senate interrogation of Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas's confirmation. Biden's performance will turn off every woman in America, again. He's not going to help with those 18 million who do remember that footage.
