More Sexy Men Living (2007)

Thanks for Leslie Cheung, he's made Hong Kong and Chinese film watching all the more worth while for YEARS! I also must agree about Matt Damon, he's been the sneak up on you sexy one for most of his career.

I also agree that Keith Olberman was unfairly excluded - he is so HOT !! When he ends his broadcasts with "Be there, Aloha" - I get weak in the knees. Please remember him for next year!

Also, I kinda dig Ben Foster - he played the crazy sidekick to Russell Crowe in 3:10 to Yuma, and the really crazy prison inmate on My Name is Earl (to name a couple of appearances).

And please, I know, but... but let's talk about The Rock. Dwayne Johnson was the only reason I ever watched pro wrestling. Holy Blue Hell, he's smokin'!

The sexism starts from the top

I know this letter will get lost in the massive shuffle of responses to this article, but I am another woman troubled by the misogynistic treatment of Hillary - by Obama himself, the press, pundits, and voting public. I was leaning towards voting for Obama until I heard him make the comment about Hillary answering the phone at the White House and saying "Bill, it's for you". Wow! Now that's sexism. Part of the reason Hillary is being dumped on so badly is that it's still o.k. to make negative comments about a woman, but it's not o.k. to do so about a black person anymore. Finally, I know, it's been a long time coming. But, everyone is being very careful with Obama (and that's good) and the race issue, but Hillary is not being afforded the same courtesy. Not even close.

It all points to sexism, which is still a big problem in our country. My republican mother has hated Hillary all along, calling her "ambitious", like it's a dirty word. The law office I work for is quietly sexist every day. It infuriates me. The Obama Boys' main criticism of Hillary is ... that's she's "a bitch". I think it's gotten to the point where a woman has to be a "bitch" sometimes, or she'll just get dismissed and swept out of the way. Ladies, however you may feel about "feminism", or whatever you do, don't get swept out of the the way!!!

I will vote for whoever the Democratic candidate is, but until that is decided, I'm watching Obama just as closely as Hillary. He's making gaffs too, it's just that the many Obama faithful won't acknowledge them. And besides, now we know Obama is a terrible bowler!! I know he has B-ball game, why did he bowl? To "connect with middle-class white folk"? Cheesy move! So, no one in this race is perfect. In one sense this is the greatest time in my life to be a voter, to have to choose between a Black and a Woman to be my Presidential candidate. It's very exciting and I sincerely want the strongest candidate in place to beat John McCain. But the blind, cultish devotion to Obama turns me off. Hillary HAS been mistreated, and yet she sticks it out. That's saying something positive about her, in my opinion.

"Poor" J.K. Rowling ! (note, I used quotes)

I think that Ms. Rowling should recognize that someone creating a useful and informative companion guide to the Harry Potter novels is a great compliment that transends money. Manjoo states that other guides exist for Ulysees, the works of Faulkner, and Bob Dylan. Let's not forget "The Complete Guide to Middle Earth" - the excellent companion guide to Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

A companion guide is better if compiled by another person other than the author. The author has already done all the hard work, let someone else take over for a minute. I know it's not only about the money for JK, it's also about the control, and as the series has ended, she feels like she's losing control. It's a hard thing to devote yourself completely to a substantial artistic endeavor, but eventually you have to let go at some point.

She shouldn't have fought about the Lexicon guide. Because she said nothing until the man wanted to put his compiled information into print, it makes her look greedy, nasty, and unable to take the high road. She's not hurting for money, and never will be. Her protests are either for spite or sport, and neither choice make her look very good.

Original article: Ask the pilot

Marketing idea to please everyone

How about having some flights scheduled for people ages 12 and older only. Then you with all your little darlings can fly together, and the rest of us can get some peace. I'm not paying to be tormented by your "precious cargo", I'm paying to get somewhere without a migraine. The way a lot of you (too numerous to glorify with a mention here) are lashing out at an obvious joke about muzzling kids on flights shows how self-absorbed you've become as parents, and you freak out on anyone who doesn't smile at you with a loving expression when your kids act out - for hours - while everyone is stuck at 30,000 feet with no escape. It's not really fair, is it? WE all paid for our tickets. Here's how it works, we ALL get on, sit down, buckle up, and try not to annoy others while on the plane. If your little kid has a hard time flying, then wait until they are older. It's not that crazy a notion. I'd pay extra for a "no kids" flight. Today, if it were available. So would a lot of other travelers. Then maybe I wouldn't have to pay 15 bucks extra so the airline can still lose my bag.
