Original article: Nixon knows best

Why does Salon do this?

Why do you continuously write articles simply to piss off your natural readership?

Original article: Cindy Sheehan's wrong turn

Can't handle populism

When there is a need for Democrats to trash somebody to prove their true party blindness, it seems that the easiest target was Michael Moore and now it is Cindy Sheehan. (Of course, there is always the foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of Ralph Nader, the Democrats equivalent of the Republicans and the Clintons.)

Moore and Sheehan are not politicians, but come from the people. Neither lie and spin like Democrats need and want. So, when the Democrats (and not just the politicians, but their internet servants) tire of voting against the wishes of those who voted for them, they find enemies. Both Michael and Cindy are truly heartland populists and designated targets. Just watch to see how Medicare for all or impeachment never get mentioned next year.

Lomborg is a dick

If he were American, he would be laughed off the stage. Since he is Danish, the "if it is foreign, we must give it credence" crowd listens to him.

He is a liar for ignoring all scientific evidence. He allows himself to be used by the worst people in the world to continue the death spiral that fossil fuels send us into.

Again, Salon is pissing off those who theoretically are on their side. Shame on you, again and again.

Original article: Good men, bad war

Bad idea

Anybody who volunteers to be trained to be a killer is, by definition, not a good man.

This is a list of what you think children should watch

Try to get a kid to watch a silent movie outside a theatre.

Try to get a kid to watch black and white. Anywhere.

It took me ten years to understand why my parents liked Bullwinkle more that I did.

If you show a kid a movie with pre-Star Wars FX, they will laugh at it.

Unless a kid has been brought up on musicals, they will not understand why suddenly the whole street breaks out in song. Willie Wonka worked because it was with kids the story was something they are interested in. A kid will not be interested in the transition between silent movies and sound. That was a hundred years ago to them. That was their great, great grandparents that they never met.

No matter what, kids will choose their own favorites

Rebellion is a damn important part of growing up. Do you folks think that your children will or even should like what you do?

Do you even understand that after a certain age, everything that you suggest that your children read, watch, play or otherwise spend their time will be hated by them. Oh, I am sure that everyone who posts here are perfect parents who have perfect two way communication between parent and child and there are absolutely no secrets or hidden agendas. Well, folks, you are delusional.

Original article: "Hannah Montana: The Movie"

Error

If you watched the show, you would know that Oliver knows the secret, because his crush on Hannah was too much for Miley, of whom Oliver did not have a crush.

Original article: How to talk about abortion

This debate is not for the religious only

Those who are not Christian, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists or other religions do not have the exclusive right to this debate. Just because the lunatic fringe of Christians frame the issue in biblical terms does not mean the debate must be answered that way.

Women have the right to their own bodies. Nobody else can claim that right.

It is that simple.

Don't leave us!

I don't think I can last for ten days without Glenn.

What if I find that I can live without Glenn and throw my loyalty to the guest bloggers?
