@jochebed -- Wow!

"The reason why Bush/Cheney lied to everyone and scaremongered, AND went behind our backs into the bargain, is precisely because they KNEW ALL ALONG that it was wrong, and that it would come out. They just didn't care." -- jochebed

Wow! You must be incredibly well-connected to know all you do! And to be so cocksure of every detail! I'm so impressed! Did you work in the White House at the time to be privy to all this information!?! Or do you just have a secret line to Bush and Cheney!?!

@Joan - Why was my post in your previous article deleted?

My post on your article "Bagram prisoners have no rights?" appeared as the second to last post published yesterday -- just before the thread closed. Now it has been deleted -- and there was nothing in its content that would have been cause for deletion. So what happened? Did you simply disagree with my point of view?

@Joan -- You call THIS a Fiscal Responsibility Summit? And, on another note, HERE'S the most interesting poll number of all.

Obama’s "Fiscal Responsibility Summit" – a three-hour "brainstorming" session guaranteed to fix the ailing economy. Oh, pul-eeze, God, deliver us from this insanity. Has any PR ploy EVER been more transparent? Jeeze, it should be hilarious. But instead, it's just so damn pathetic I want to puke. Did you know that Obama's zombotic "braintrust" actually broke up into little groups and then “reported” back to him with “answers” at the end of the day. What is this – day camp? Did everyone get little merit badges to take home and show their parents? Oh well, I guess this is how community organizers get to the bottom of complex issues. And in a mere three hours, no less! I guess we'll have to redefine the word "Summit" now. And why not? After all, the Obama administration is busy trying to come up with a new phrase to replace the "The War on Terror" verbiage right this very minute. Hey, I got one! How about -- "The Campaign on the Naughty."

One another note, Joaney-baloney, if you really want to make today poll-citing day, then consider this one: Obama is as popular at this point in his presidency as George W. Bush was in his. Kinda sobering, doncha think?

PS: Are you going to delete my post again today, Joan?

@paulpsd7 -- I don't disagree with you at all.

But thanks for helping me prove my point -- by comparing Obama's "Fiscal Responsibility Summit" to any of the big PR shams that have come before. Cheers!

Original article: "We are not quitters"

@ Joan: Are you seriously telling me you're going to delete my posts if I don't stop calling you Joaney-baloney?

What -- are you suddenly a five-years-old on the playground again? My God -- THIS from the lady who once called John McCain an ass!!! Are you seriously saying that you'd prefer me to call YOU an ass instead -- rather than using an innocuous descriptor like "Joaney-baloney." Jeeze Louise, Joaney-Baloney is a moniker someone's dad might tease his little girl with. Are you really so thin skinned after all the crap you dish out? I seem to remember you calling Bush an "asshole cowboy" the other day. Is it all right then if I call you an asshole something-or-other rather than Joaney-Baloney from now on? Is that what you'd prefer? Or are only you allowed to indulge in name calling?

@@FaulknerJr -- Thanks for defending me.

It seems Joan can dish it out, but she sure can't take it.

Original article: "We are not quitters"

@Joan: God bless you too & thanks for not deleting my post, but I'm afraid you failed to answer any of my rather pointed questions about who's really name calling here. Can you please clarify?

Here again are my questions on name calling:

You once disrespected John McCain, a patriot who spent 5 years as a regularly-tortured POW, like him or not, by calling him an ass. Are you seriously saying that you'd prefer me to call YOU an ass rather than using an innocuous descriptor like "Joaney-Baloney"? Or are you saying that name-calling is something only you have the right to do? I also seem to remember you calling Bush an "asshole cowboy" just the other day. Is it all right, therefore, if I call YOU an asshole something-or-other rather than Joaney-Baloney from now on? Is that what you're saying you'd prefer me to do? Or, once again, are you saying that name-calling is something only you have the right to do?

BTW, Joan, with all due respect, "Joaney-Baloney" is a moniker someone's loving dad might "tease" his little girl with. Are you really so thin skinned after all name calling you dish out on a regular basis not to accept the fact that folks are more than entitled to send a zinger your way too? Furthermore, if by calling you "Joaney-Baloney" you think I am somehow "lowering my standards" as you put it, then what standards am I lowering mine to? Wouldn't I be lowering them to the same standards you regularly employ?

I respectfully await your answer in the spirit of free and open discourse. No need to delete posts and inhibit free speech here at Salon, is there?

@FaulknerJr -- That Steeler game!

That Steeler game was one of the best Super Bowls ever! Both teams fought the good fight, but in the end, the Steelers showed what they were made of. That last touchdown pass! That catch! It doesn't get any better than that, Faulkner.
