This from Michael Graham at the Boston Herald:
I have one piece of advice for the struggling Obama campaign:
Fire MSNBC. They’re killing your campaign.
The national media are dominated by enthusiastic Obama supporters desperate to see Obama the Enlightened win the White House, heal our souls, reset our thermostats and shut down the Fox News Channel.
And that’s precisely how their coverage of Palin comes across: desperate.
The media has thrown every imaginable charge at Palin, from banning books to cheating her way to the much-coveted title of Miss Wasilla. Along the way, media outlets like The New York Times [NYT], MSNBC and The Boston Globe-Democrat have gotten story after story just plain wrong.
Palin does not support teaching creationism in science class.
She didn’t fire the Wasilla librarian for not banning books that Palin didn’t like.
As governor she signed budget increases - not cuts - for programs targeting teen pregnancy and special-needs children.
And on and on - so many false and silly stories that entire Web sites have been established just to correct them.
And yet the misreporting continues.
That’s bad for Obama because these errors and rumors make it tougher for his campaign to take on the legitimate issues of ideology and experience. It’s hard to make charges about Palin’s tax policy as a mayor stick when cable talk show kooks are screaming about rumors she killed and ate an Inuit as part of a radical Pentecostal religious ceremony.

PS: How right is this guy? MSNBC just banned Olbermann and Matthews from live Election Day coverage because of their arrogant and obvious bias. And yet Obama is interviewing with Olbermann last night like everything is just peachy.
Huh? When was the last time either one of those two ninnies got anyone elected?
WOW! WOW! & WOW!
What a great article! Paglia has held up a mirror to the Democratic Party and forced themselves to take and long hard look. And it's a pretty ugly sight indeed.
One of my favorite insights:
Feminism, which should be about equal rights and equal opportunity, should not be a closed club requiring an ideological litmus test for membership.
I am SO sick of that phrase, Dolores. It is SUCH a misleading statement. The truth be told, despite any tax breaks currently in place, the wealthiest of Americans (the top 1%) still pay 40% of all the income tax collected in America. Furthermore, the top 50% of earners still pay 97%. If ANYONE deserves a break from paying taxes it's THEM. Or should the top 50% pay 3% more, making it an even 100%, while the bottom 50% pays nothing? This is NOT a socialist country... yet. Let people who earn, keep some of it.
This excerpt from the Boston Herald:
It’s America’s newest disease - only diagnosed by some in the media a few days ago - but it is spreading among the nation’s Beautiful People at an alarming rate.
You know it by its initials - PDS. Palin Derangement Syndrome.
You can watch the victims of PDS on TV every night, frothing at the mouth in front of Obama banners, repeating scurrilous lies lifted from left-wing blogs or just making up new whoppers as they go along. It’s an epidemic - Palin Derangement Syndrome swept through MSNBC studios this week and claimed two anchors (Matthews and Olbermann), who are survived by dozens of viewers.
The bad news is, PDS appears to be incurable. The good news is, it only strikes one demographic group - moonbats.
Like so many earlier plagues, PDS mutated from an earlier affliction, BDS, Bush Derangement Syndrome. But BDS often metastasized over months, if not years, and struck across the political spectrum.
Are you at risk of contracting this virulent contagion? Do you work for a living? If the answer to the latter is yes, the answer to the former is probably no.
You’ve heard of Typhoid Mary. PDS is spread by “Typhoid Sarah,” but it’s not infectious. It only strikes the Politically Correct. So far, it has struck only those who believe that 9/11 was an “inside job,” or who have “Redefeat Bush” bumper stickers on the backs of their Priuses.
Researchers racing for the cure say that sometimes a single word or term relating to Sarah can touch off a full-blown case of PDS - “pro-life” is one such predictive phrase, and others include “blue-collar,” “public school” and, most alarming of all, “mother of five.”
Normally considered nothing more than a plagiarizing blowhard, Joe B. was struck down with a particularly nasty strain of PDS - an overpowering depression and paranoia about his own worthlessness. Never one to speak succinctly, Joe B. suddenly became an even bigger windbag, sputtering, “Hillary Clinton is is qualified to be president of the United States of America. She’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America and, quite frankly, might have been a better pick than me.”
