Original article: Oh no they didn't

It was cluelessness.

Sounds to me like some clueless producer liked the word play of "Obama's Baby Mama" and went with it without having any idea what the phrase actually meant. In fact, I didn't either, till I read this article. I really doubt it was deliberate or racist. Just plain stupid. One thing I learned about FOX during the democratic primary is that they WERE actually more fair and balanced than MSNBC, especially to Hillary (not that I supported her). In fact, lots of Democrats said the very same thing -- including Terry McAuliffe.

Oh, Rufus, Rufus, Rufus...

You poor, poor man. You're clueless, too. I'm an Independent.

@ - newsoul -- Wow

You bring up some really good points. Things I'd never considered before. Thanks.

Tim Russert dies and this is what you're writing about, Joan?

Why any journalist in his or her right mind would be writing an article about Keith Olbermann before commenting on the passing of Tim Russert last Friday is a total mystery to me. Oh, wait, the writer is Joan Walsh and it's another opportunity to opine about sexism. Now I get it.

Keith Olbermann is a snake. He's the polar opposite of Tim Russert. While Russert was buoyant, gregarious and always fair, Olberman is a smug little weasel of a man. Do you think you'd ever find Russert doing a "Worst Person in the World" segment on Meet the Press? NBC should purge this "gotcha" pundit as part of their shake-up to fill Russert's shoes. He's the O'Reilly of the left. And the world needs neither.

Original article: Obama on Father's Day

Joan-- "that if I could be anything in life, I would be a good father to my girls"

Sorry, Joan. Mothers are mothers. And fathers are fathers. And never the twain shall meet. As a former Big Brother, I have seen first hand that mothers -- try as they may -- are simply not fathers. And I've seen the toll that takes on the kids. Children are meant to have parents. Not A parent. As Obama said, fathers are either "AWOL" or they're home.

Ignore Tim Russert 's death and write about Olbermann, Joan. Nice.

Why any journalist with even the slightest sensitivity to the real world would be writing an article about Keith Olbermann and sexism before commenting on the passing of a monumental figure like Tim Russert is beyond belief. Oh, wait, the writer is Joan Walsh! And it's another opportunity to opine about sexism!

Now I get it.

For what it's worth, Keith Olbermann is a snake. He's the polar opposite of Tim Russert. While Russert was buoyant, gregarious and always fair, Olberman is a smug little weasel of a man. And it's not because of sexism, Joan. It's because, much like you, he follows an agenda laden with bias. Do you think you'd ever find Russert doing a "Worst Person in the World" segment on Meet the Press? Or endless, paranoid diatribes on sexism, like you? NBC should purge "gotcha" pundits like Olbermann as part of their shake-up to fill Russert's shoes. He's the O'Reilly of the left. And the world needs neither.

Original article: Pipe down, Cindy McCain

This is a silly little squabble...

...that amounts to nothing. I'm surprised Joan wasted a column on it. And still not a word from Joan about the death of Tim Russert. Great set of priorities. Sigh.

Joan writes about catfights while Obama is telling Iraq’s Foreign Minister his policy will would not differ much from McCain’s.

Hello? Joan? Anybody home? Anybody paying attention to anything that's actually issue oriented? Or are you too busy preparing your next article on sexism?

Meanwhile...

The Washington Post reports that Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari spoke with Obama via phone this week –- and that Zebari came away assured that Obama’s Iraqi policy would not differ all that much from McCain's. Zebari stated that Obama told him, "If there would be a Democratic administration, it will not take any irresponsible, reckless, sudden decisions or action to endanger your gains, your achievements, your stability or security. Whatever decision he will reach will be made through close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field."

So much for withdrawing most U.S. troops according to a fixed and rapid timetable. But the heck with the issues, Joan. You keep on covering the important stuff. Like the latest Cindy babble. Yeah, that's important.

Then and Now

"In January, the MSNBC star denounced telecom immunity as "textbook fascism" designed to "immunize corporate criminals." Wednesday night, he heaped praise on Obama for supporting it."

Maybe that's because Olbermann is a toad.

Original article: Is Ralph Nader losing it?

Ralph "lost it" a long time ago.

He's been opening his mouth soley for the sake of his own ego for some time now.

As far as Obama "talking white" -- I don't know quite what Ralph would rather have him do. Perhaps he thinks a little "shuck and jive" is in order here.

Original article: Is Ralph Nader losing it?

Obama has begun his long, painful his march toward the center.

So far, Obama has thrown campaign finance reform, telecom accountability (fisa), NAFTA renegotiation, Jeremiah Wright and his own grandmother overboard. He's finally beginning to look more and more like an ordinary politician. And it's only June.

Original article: Slamming Wesley Clark

Sure, Joan, Bob Schieffer is a "baiter" -- r-r-right.

Oh, so poor Wesley was lured into his answer by devious old Bob. The world according to Joan. Could it be that Clark is a rather dim light, who really isn't quipped to be speaking out on shows like Face the Nation? Attacking McCain's experience is a non-starter. Attacking McCain's experience as it relates to his military record is a political suicide. What about that don't you and Wesley Clark don't understand, Joan?

Obama reversed himself on his withdrawal timetable for Iraq today.

This just in from Politico:

"Sen. Barack Obama promised primary voters a swift withdrawal from Iraq, in clear language still on his Web site: 'Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months.' Not anymore. Heading into the holiday weekend, Obama and his advisers repudiated that pledge, saying he is reevaluating his plan and will incorporate advice from commanders on the ground when he visits Iraq later this month."

Let's see now. So far Obama has thrown his Iraqi timetable for withdrawal, campaign finance reform, telecom accountability (fisa), NAFTA renegotiation, Jeremiah Wright and his own grandmother overboard. Gee, he's beginning to look like an ordinary politician. And it's only July. So much for change we can believe in.
