@ DeeperTruth -- If you're sooo impressed with Hillary...

...perhaps you can help her defend this long list of her lies that Dick Morris published yesterday. Not that I'm a fan of Mr. Morris either. But he DID work for the Clintons for many years, and if anyone has an keen insight into Hillary's so-called integrity -- it's him.

Hillary’s Admitted Lies:

• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)

• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)

• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)

• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn't cover the market back then.)

Whoppers She Won't Confess To:

• She didn't know about the FALN pardons.

• She didn't know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.

• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.

• She didn't know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.

• She didn't know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.

• She opposed NAFTA at the time.

• She claimed to have organized “instrumental” meetings in Belfast and baldly asserted that she “helped to bring peace to Northern Ireland”—never mind that key negotiators dismissed her as “totally invisible,” “cheerleading,” and “a wee bit silly.”

• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.

• She played a role in the '90s economic recovery.

• The billing records showed up on their own.

• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.

• She was always a Yankees fan.

• She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).

• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).

• She claimed to have “helped start” the federal Children Health Insurance Program—never mind that the program’s original sponsors noted that Sen. Clinton fought the initial bill and had no role in writing the legislation.

• She bragged that she was the “first” to call the disaster in Darfur “genocide”—never mind that several other senators had done so in 2004, while her first press statement referring to Darfur as “genocide” wasn’t until March 2006.

Yes, sir, she's real "experienced" -- at lying, at least.

@ DeeperTruth -- So much of my information is wrong?

BTY, it's not MY information, it's from Dick Morris and HE should know.

Plus, you've only had retorts for 2 out of the 20.

How about I make it easy for you? Just answer one -- Was Hillary lying about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia?

Thursday, March 27, 2008 10:37 AM

@ DeeperTruth -- Are you serious?

"I do not at all think Hillary was purposefully lying about Bosnia - her memory was exaggerated by all she has been through lately, and sleep deprivation."

That is possibly the lamest response I've ever heard.

Even though I must admit that whenever I've suffered from sleep deprivation, I immediately begin to recall being shot at during visits to foreign countries. Doesn't everybody?

Pah-leeze. You'd better stock up on that Klinton Kool Aid. Denver is a long time from now and Hillary will be kicking and screaming all the way there.

BTW, did you see the latest NBC/WSJ poll? Hillary Clinton is now sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37 percent positive rating is the lowest the poll has recorded since March 2001.

In the end, your precious little viper will be the reason McCain breezes into the White House.

@ DeeperTruth -- Lots of luck working through your delusion.

I'm afraid you'll have to witness for yourself what Hillary does to destroy the party over the next three months. Only then will you see the world clearly again. Lots of luck with that. I've tried to help you, but to no avail. Cheers.

@ - ljwalker53 -- It's not MY list of Hillary's lies...

It's from Dick Morris. Not that I'm a fan of his, but if anyone has a keen insight into Hillary's "integrity" -- it's him. But if you still think they're untrue, then defend just one of them for me. Tell me -- do you think Hillary lied about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia? I'll be looking for your reply. Cheers.

@ Steve1us -- "Joan Walsh getting instructions from Clinton's campaign"

What is your source for this story?

Friday, March 28, 2008 09:25 AM

@ Joan -- Instead of reminding us of Rev, Wright at the end of your articles...

...why don't you try writing about Hillary's "I landed in Bosnia under sniper fire" lie? You said on on TV the other day that Salon was "all over" that story. But that, too, was just a lie, wasn't it, Joan? No wonder you're so attracted to Hillary. Lying is second nature to both of you.

@ Rayon Fog -- On Hagee

"Why is McCain getting a free pass?"

Because Hagee isn't McCain's pastor.

Friday, March 28, 2008 10:37 AM

@ Maddie -- Trust me, I'm sick of hearing about Rev Wright, too.

But Joan keeps bringing him up. She just won't let it go. Meanwhile, I'm even more sick and tired of Joan refusing to do an anti-Clinton story -- despite the fact the Bosnia lie is the bigger story now. I want to hold Joan accountable. Especially after she claimed on TV that Salon wass "all over" that story.

NOT!

Friday, March 28, 2008 11:03 AM

@ Rayon Fog -- I respectfully disagree.

I'm not backing McCain here. But there is a clear difference. Getting the endorsement of the leader of a big church in San Antomio is different than putting your pastor on your campaign team, only to have to ask him to resign for the embarassing rants we've all seen ad nauseum by now. It's different than going to the man's church with your family for 20 years, having him baptize your children, giving him tens of thousands of dollars and praising him in your best-selling book.

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:09 PM

@ Rayon Fog

You make some good points, but I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:14 PM

@ -- Steve1us

Funny thing, but right after I responded by asking for your source, I said to myself, "Gee, that was so blatantly unsourced, I'll bet he was being satirical." Sometimes we get so serious, we don't see the forest for the trees. Guilty.
