Those slimy right-wing attacks

Those slimy right-wing attacks

"The right-wing noise machine generates scurrilous, petty, personality-based innuendo about Democratic candidates, and the establishment press then mindlessly repeats it and mainstreams it."

Yes, here's a short list of those slimy right-wing attacks.

Obama is a risky roll of the dice.

Obama is a fairy tale.

Obama is all words.

Obama is lacking in depth and specificity.

Obama is a dreamer.

Obama is a plagiarizer.

Oh, wait a second, those attacks came from the Hillary campaign. Gosh, you don't think she's slimy, scurrilous and petty, too, do you?

Tim Russert, Saturday Night Live & Dropping Out

"Tim Russert was a distraction, hammering away at Clinton the way he always does" -- Joan

Gee, Joan, is asking tough questions too much of an inconvenience for someone who wants to be President of the United States? I’d have to think a future President would have to answer even tougher ones once he or she gets elected. Or was Russert picking on Joan's poor, defenseless Hillary again? Earth to Joan: Russert was just doing his job, and doing it well, I might add.

"I loved the SNL skit about Obama's media worshippers, but her joke about it fell flat."

Fell flat? It was an H-bomb, for Christ’s sake. Maybe that's because she delivered it like she was serious. In fact, her dour expression rarely changed throughout the entire debate. Perhaps Obama should have bent her way and gently reminded her that the SNL skit was a satire, not reality. Or perhaps he should have offered her a pillow.

"Should Hillary Clinton drop out?"

If she wins Texas and/or Ohio, but not by enough delegates to put her ahead, then by all means, for the sake of party unity, she should drop out. Because once that happens, it is mathematically over.

However, she will not drop out. Because she does not care about the party. She only cares about her coronation. So in true Clintonian fashion, she will begin screaming about "disenfranchisement" in Michigan and Florida louder than ever before -- in a transparent attempt to steal the nomination. She will march on, undeterred, all the way to the convention in August. And once she’s there, just wait to the debacle over stealing Superdelegates and even committed delegates transpires.

One thing is for sure -- if Hillary manipulates the vote at the convention to get herself the nomination, there will be a revolution. Americans will be absolutely horrified as they witness Obama supporters booing and jeering the Hildabeast as she attempts to give her acceptance speech. Delegates will walk out in droves. And the entire country will finally experience the stench of the Billary machine in full. If Hillary brazenly plods on all the way to the convention, the Democratic Party will splinter. And it will not be able to recover in time to prevent the election of John McCain.

@ Chris Sinnard -- You misread my words

"People like washing and cooking with hot and watching American Idol too much to revolt."

Clearly, I was speaking about a revolt among Obama supporters at the convention in August, not folks at home watching American Idol.

Original article: Anonymous no more

This is the stupidest thing Salon has done yet -- We're all anonymous!

The overwhelming majority of those who post here at Salon use a screen name. And what's the difference between a screen name and posting anonymously? Absolutely nothing. Both conceal the true identity of the poster. Duh.

Much ado about nothing.

@ brightstar65 -- Echo chambers like Digg

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I haven't been to the Digg site, but I HAVE been to the Democratic Underground. Over there, all posts are constantly being scrutinized by a team of "Big Brother" types. If you dare present an opposing point of view -- no matter how well-crafted or respectful -- your post is deleted before your eyes and you are banished from ever posting there again. It's amazingly neo-Stalinist. I was surprised I wasn't sent to a re-education camp.

Hillary already won Florida and Michigan -- didn't you know that?

At least, that's what she said on TV this morning, when she included them in the list of states she's won so far. Naturally, this might give us a clue as to how she feels about the situation. But the truth be told, just as in baseball, there ARE no do-overs when it comes to voting. The Democratic Party set down the rules BEFORE the Florida and Michigan primaries -- and now they must live with them, like it or not. Which means you can expect a good whiff of the foul stench of the Billary machine in the weeks ahead -- as they tearfully bemoan "disenfranchisement" in a transparent attempt to steal the nomination from Obama.

Rest assured, Hillary will let NO ONE get in the way of her coronation. And it really doesn't matter if her duplicity destroys the party and hands McCain the White House. This, after all, is her birth right.

The Billary Machine began it's plan to steal the election today. See the AP report below. And be angry. Be very angry.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean urged Florida and Michigan party officials to come up with plans to repeat their presidential nominating contests so that their delegates can be counted.

The Michigan governor, top officials in Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign, and Florida's state party chair all are now saying they would consider holding a sort of do-over contest by June. That's a change from the previous insistence from officials in both states that the primaries they held in January should determine how their delegates are allocated.

Clinton won both contests, but the results were meaningless because the elections violated national party rules.

**************

Starting to smell the foul stench of Billary machine as they begin the process of changing the rules?

@ bamon1932 -- "Hillary knew the rules and she has to abide by them."

Correctamundo. In voting, as in baseball, there ARE no do-overs.
