Double Post, sorry

sorry to double post but, read ClareA's post.

The disconnect between the blue collar and what the media and bloggers stereotype blue collar to be.

They are not monolithic.

But, it is true that while Obama has plenty of detailed policy, it is never talked about.

In Illinois Obama was known as a bit of a wonk. So, it surprises me that throughout the campaign the media makes him out to be some policy lightweight and Hillary to be Ms. Wonk. In reality they are about the same on the level of wonkiness.

The media obsessions and pre-fabricated storylines are disrespecting the blue collar voters. They are like everyone else. Labels in general are disrespecting. Blue collar people would be more receptive to Obama id the media talked about his policies and quit obsessing on his race and pastor.

People are fed up with the media;s shallowness to both candidates. They are sick of hearing about pastors, race and gender. They simply want someone to fix the problems.

Original article: Super stuck!

Spineless

I realize the supers are ultra sensitive to their voters and districts, ect., but, the reason they are supers is that they are in leadership positions of some sort.

The major problem with democrats, even republicans, these days is a decided lack of resolve and leadership.

We are a party of spinelessness. Too afraid to upset someone or take a stand, they would rather see the damage that is being done to the party and the supporters and the candidates then, actually show a bit of leadership.

The so called leaders are too busy fussing around and wringing their hands to think why they are supers to begin with.

My advise: Make a damn decision now and get this over with!

Last Paragraph is Wrong

No one is suggesting that Obama's problems are caused by the emails.

What is true is that the man was peddling trash from Rightwing sources and trying to pass it off as facts. The problem is that bored journalists may be tempted to use them.

And it is good to expose the fact that Hillary's campaign has been dealing in rightwing tactics against a fellow democrat.

It is more exposing and bringing to light the damage Hillary's campaign is doing to the party and another democrat and giving fuel to the 'enemy'.

Her tactics have been questioned and in light of the voters suppression effort in several states by a group lead by many hard core Clintonistas, it's worth letting the public know that not all the garbage being peddled is by the right.

Jim Webb

Having alot of military experience, serving as Asst. Sec. of Navy in the 80s, he's been somewhat vetted.

He is outspoken and not afraid to play the attack dog and has the same populist streak and intellect to keep up with and passion for good government as Obama.

I have felt Webb would be the perfect choice for obama since last year.

Clinton's fanatical supporters

I posted encouragement on the NARAL blog because of the rabid comments by Hillary's fanatical followers.

Feminism means freedom of choice and that means the freedom to support the candidate you think is best with or without a vagina.

But, Hillary';s supporters feel they need to threaten and bully anyone who does not support her as traitors or sexist. They are crazed and unreasonable.

NARAL has every right to support the candidate they want to. Just like I have the right to support who I want to. I do not feel because I am a woman I should support a candidate who I feel is the inferior one because she is a woman. Hillary demonstrated to me that she is not competent in running a campaign let alone the country. She has demostrated time and again over the years that she is weak in making good decisions.

I don't care if someone is female or male. black or white. I pick according to who I feel has the qualities I want and is the one I feel is the better candidate.

If it is not a woman, so what. What is a woman going to do as a president that is any different from a man. It means nothing to me. It is only a symbol and that is all.

That does not pay my bills or put food on my table. I want a good president. After looking things over I decided to back the one I thought was going to be the best candidate and I chose Obama.

I am sure that is why NARAl did as well.

I live in Illinois

In Illinois Obama does well with the rural and even those in southern Illinois (next to kentucky). I think given the time he can do well with them.

But, it doesn't help having the media talking about why Obama can't get blue collar voters 24/7. It sends a message to those voters and therefore chases them away.

Since they have not focused on Hispanics it seems as of today Obama is leading Clinton alot with democratic hispanics now.

I'd say the media gets an obsession with them and they end up doing alot of damage to a candidate with endless talk about whatever they are obsessing on.
