I knew something smelled

Many people feel there is something sleazy and rotten going on with this primary. since the spring many bloggers have wondered about the polls and knowing the establishment is working overtime to get Clinton the nomination as well as most of the traditional media, you feel things are stacked against us.

Where you see 25,000 people in New York City, Hillary's turf, for a rally with Barack Obama, you know things are rotten when the press keeps touting the inevitability of Hillary and the polls keep inching her up everyweek without so much as a burp like there always is in polls.

After the joke of 2000 and 2004, and the unfortunate outcome of bush and his cronies ruining everything in the country, you'd think we would have half a chance this time to have a say in our primaries. but, of course, the clintons are involved and frankly they are just as corrupt and slimey as any republican.

If democrats were honest with themselves they would admit that the Clintons are not the best people to be at the top of our party or the kind of people we really want to represent us.

Until democrats are honest with themselves and the fact that the clintons are corrupt and really selfish, greedy and sleazy people that we would be much better off without, I don't think things can change for the better.

i worry over the influence

With the cable news obsessing on the polls like they are infallible and a real point of people's intention, they influence far too many voters.

there are alot of people who do not have the time to search and read blogs. they rely on the news for what they assume is factual information and truth.

They are never told about the fact that over 70% of democrats have not made up their minds.

And while they tout Queen hillary as inevitable and then generate daily news stories following this line of thinking and giving the impression that the race is over, those who are looking or leaning at another candidate can be discouraged and simply not vote or vote for Hillary based on the hyper touting of the polls.

I find this not only dangerous but, it has the effect of changing an election - many times for the worse.

Answer to Hillary bots

Tell me what Hillary has really accomplished on her own that was not due to nepotism.

Outside of marrying Bill she has done nothing on her own. She owes her postions and career to her marriage and not due to any ability.

While in the senate she has had a very shaky record and did little legislation. it's like she came and sat and plotted her presidential run. Little more than that.

She has also shown a history of very bad judgment and a total lack of leadership.

if she was not married to Bill, her candidacy would be a joke. She has nothing she has done due to her own capability. The other candidates, the ones getting ignored and trashed by the media, are the ones who got where they are by hard work and talent. But, not Hillary.

She takes no stands and keeps giving Bush permission to commit war.

She is a phoney who is marketed as an 'experienced and smart and successful woman' but, in reality she is just someone's wife who is treading on his resume.

Interesting Article

I am finding, amid the extreem polarization, a certain group of people who are looking for a way to bring things back into the normal sphere.

Not so much centrist but, more in the normal ranges of both sides. the more traditional or progressive left vs the more traditional Eisnehower style republican.

Both sides have embraced the polarizing propaganda. so, the right uses old 1960s charges to stereotype the left. They choose the incompetent but, evangelical Bush to taunt the left to get back for Daddy Bush's loss. We choose the DLC, war hawk Hillary to taunt the right for the impeachment of Bill. Both choices are a poor way to seek revenge (and why always revenge). And both are a destructive choice for the country, which we should think about first rather than our own hurts and grievances.

We cannot fix the problems that are facing us, serious ones, until we repair ourselves. the first step in doing so is to end this nonsense of never ending divisiveness.

I am hoping Obama is the nominee and our president because he is the one person who can end this whole mindset and start this country looking forward and begin to address the monumental problems we face.

Maybe you are being a bit hard, Walter.

I don't think anyone can fault a subdued performance on Meet the press this morning. Afterall, that dinner went way too long and with Obama being the last, delivering a fired up speech and probably being up to all hours, I'd think he just did not want to make any big mistakes going up against someone like Russert with very little sleep.

Any other time, I'd say, sure, he could have done better. But, concidering the full day activities and long night, I say, you might be asking a bit much.

Besides, even with alot of sleep, Hillary would not go on the program but, was video cast from her home turf. and she still could not answer any questions openly or fully.

At least Obama was open and honest in his answers and faced the mighty Russert face to face.
